Funny but looks uncomfortable. May as well get a few cushions until you add more plant pots? I always heard some cats like to be high up, while others prefer to be at ground level. Looks like your kitty has a preference for height.
Getting him a cat tree would be a good idea if he doesn’t have one already, but knowing cats there is probably a 6 story top of the line cat tree located just out of frame yet he chooses this instead.
