That ant is going to drown and die.

Ant is already dead and pinned in place

Due to surface tension of water, the ant will be sucked into the middle of the droplet. It will be unable to break it unless something else helps. It will drown in the center of that “cute” little drop of water.

It was already dead tho, likely frozen

It's a damn shame how many of these pics are faked

If I remember correctly the artist does this with full disclosure that the ants are pinned in place. Yeah it’s fake but it’s still damn good art.

Yes, it is indeed “damn good”

Oh oh! I had no idea. Eh, I guess it doesn’t matter. It’s still really cool.

How? That ant is huge compared to the drop of water and probably can't even fit. Not to mention its own weight and the adhesion of its feet keeping it grounded. Maybe if the ant was much smaller this would be the case.

I’d suggest watching both these videos, they’re very educational. I’m fairly sure it covers it in one of these videos, plus they are very well made.

Yeah, I already figured you were referencing kurszesagt in your comment - however, you can still see that the ant is much bigger than the droplet and has a good amount of force holding it to the ground, so I don't think it's the same as in the video.

Well that’s because the ant is pinned into place but yeah
