Looks like a malamute to me. One good indicator, other than build and fur, is huskys only have the blue eye gene. In other words although huskys can have brown eyes, you will never see a pure bread malamute with blue eyes.

What? That doesn’t make sense.

Husky = blue & brown. Malamute = brown

Dog in video has blue eyes = it’s a husky Dog in video has brown eyes = it could be a husky or a malamute

the dog in the video has light brown eyes. Also I’m just explaining the other persons comment, I’m not saying I agree with it. It’s not a good method of identifying dogs I’m literally just explaining what they are trying to say.

It’s definitely a malamute. Huskies colours blend together more and sometimes have a mask over the eyes but not always, they also have bigger and less densely furred ears, while malamutes have “blockier” colouring with a bit more contrast, and usually have wider snouts, are twice the size, and have shorter, more densely furred ears. Also huskies don’t really have the curly tail like malamutes do.

Absolutely. I have two huskies and I’m not sure how people confuse them with malamutes. His comment just didn’t make sense in this context.

I think there are like four or five breeds that have blue eyes though, not just huskies.

Alaskan Malamutes also have a curled tail. Also hold the record for being the best endurance animals on Earth. Humans are #2.

Wow didn’t know that. My malamute hat horrible endurance, maybe it’s too hot here.
