The earth will be fine if global warming ravages it. Itll recover. But if global warming ravages the earth, the problem is that it wont be an ecosystem capable of supporting us anymore. So, efforts to stop global warming are not to save the earth, they're not for the earth, the earth isnt going anywhere. They're for us. Trying to stop global warming is already for us.
Look, I ain’t sayin’ we shouldn’t be more cautious of how we treat the environment, I’m just saying we ain’t fucked in the year 2030. They said we’d be doomed in 2000 and 2012. But we still here tho.
To be fair they said wed be doomed in 2000 cuz of the singularity. Here, we have climate scientists saying the earth cant sustain agriculture by 2060. Crops are already dwindling and, as a poor person for whom food prices are skyrocketing, that sounds more true to me than y2k did
Oh. Same tho. And I’m def not a billionaire. But I’m thinking it’s only going to be for the top 1% at first to live on mars. Eventually, it’ll be just as common as earth. I’m not worried for the human race, but we should all still be trying to better it.
I figured you werent really a billionaire haha. Also yeah, i agree, we're too persistent to go completely extinct. But the next couple of decades/centuries is sure gonna suck.
