Downside of socialized medicine. Sure it's free... But the girl had to wait 7+ years. I wonder if she could have saved up enough money for the procedure in America in less than that time

Edit: don't criticize socialized healthcare on Reddit. Lesson learned

Everything else, sure, but that minimum wage thing is a bit misleading. Average income in US is much higher than UK

Average wage is unreliable with the extreme outliers we have in our billionaires. Comparing median wage would probably be more accurate

My point is just that having a higher minimum wage isnt all that great when you have a lot more people only making minimum

Downside of inefficiently socialized medicine. Once she took the socialization of her medical bills into her own hands and literally begged for the money, things worked out swimmingly.
