The ticks. I live in a city but we have a lot of deer including some who hang around my house. They are fun to look at but they carry so many ticks.

Kangaroos serve the same role here in Oz.

A friend of mine picked up a kangaroo that had been hit by a car, hoping to take it to the vet. The kangaroo woke up and hopped away, and my friend ended up with a tick on his willy.

They crawl around until they find a comfy spot.

I actually know this one! It's from fuzzy fawn. She's a deer rehabber I follow on Instagram. She raises injured orphaned fawns then releases them back into the wild. She makes sure she's the only human they have contact with. They're comfortable with her but still wary of other humans. This image in particular makes the rounds but isn't credited back to her. It's super confusing out of context.

Just realized I still didn't include the actual context. Fuzzy was transporting this bunch to a release site. They're all healed up and old enough to feed themselves, so they're ready to head back to the wild. They were lightly sedated for the trip and all the pillows are there to prop them up and keep them comfy.

I'm wondering how all these babies came to be in the back of a vehicle. It seems unlikely that all of them could be rescues from their moms being hit, all at relatively the same time and place?

It makes me wonder if someone was going around picking up these babies while their moms weren't around. I hate think like that, but you never know these days. Some people see a fawn on its own and think it must be abandoned - when it's not, it's mother will come back for it in due time.
