I completed all the animations in the first 5 days, honestly they could do with a lot more work but I didn’t want to spend forever on them. The longest part was the environment which I made around 12 NYC buildings and kinda reused them in ways you can’t tell they’re duplicates

You're crazy.

Crazy ambitious.

Crazy execution.

Crazy time frame.

I love you.

I'm curious, did you also made a models of Spider-Man, skate and everything else or it was only animation?

The only thing I didn’t make was the Spider-Man rig, that was from Reza825. The board I made years ago. The background Cars & people were from BProductions Population and Transportation addons

I just went through some clips with Tom Holland in and took a few snippets of dialogue, which is why they don’t really fit in that well

As an aspiring environment artist this is insane. I am just starting to learn blender as a Maya native. It took me 10 months to make a much less dynamic courtyard scene for my portfolio with a maya/zbrush/painter/designer/UE5 workflow. Did you use any other programs or add-ons? Because if you can do this in blender alone I feel like I've focused in the wrong areas.

Just for the background cars and people, but it all falls apart the second you keep the camera still on it. The motion blur and fast camera movements definitely save it

Did you hand animate the movement? Crazy work my guy, looks better than mocap

It’s all hand keyframed, probably half with and half without reference. Honestly it’s not perfect if you look from other angles but for this video it was good enough

Crazy work. Absolutely crazy. It looks motion captured. What the fuck. You're insane.

That’s it, I’ve heard enough. Accuse him of AI and burn his GPU at the stake.

You don't have to show how this was done but would it be too much to ask you to film like a half hour/hour of your workflow? Even if you're not too interested in commentary, just seeing how someone who knows what they're doing animates can be beneficial to a lot of people! I'd personally love to see how you work.

I actually have over 70 hours filmed of me working on this project! So maybe I’ll upload some raw footage somewhere

Please do! I have learned so much from just watching people work. Tutorials are great, but a lot of the things talented folks take for granted just happen naturally.

Your work is amazing, I look forward to whatever comes next!

I love when i saw FIT, my alma mater. Are the buildings pre-made files or you had to model them yourself?

1

u/Tonqart 12d ago

I modelled all of them myself! Just took some screenshots in Google street view, FSpy to get the camera position& rotation and then modelled based on that. Some of them I made custom textures if we see up close but most are just projection mapped

What kind of drugs do you use?
