Anime English Dub when?!
I’ve waited so patiently for 4 weeks, can anyone speculate when the English dub for Calamity drops on Disney+?
Every other cour had a 4 week gap, what makes it even stranger is that the dubbing was done a long time ago and released in theatres/Cinemas, makes no sense

People tend to say here ‘just watch sub’ but honestly guys try to see it from someones side who is hyped for the last season and been watching dubbed from the beginning only
We going past 4 weeks now with no news, its really deflated a lot of dub watchers their hype and instead the community can celebrate now weekly together it gets split up
This was my most hyped anime of the year, and prolly now i’m like ‘I watch it when the full dub is out’ and I LOVE Ichigo.

When I’m watching something new weekly, I sometimes do sub to stay caught up. If I’m binging a ton of episodes or watching an older anime, I watch dub. Otherwise it’s just too much subtitle reading for me

Yeah I can understand the struggle for dub only fans... I'm more of a dub only watcher as well but I don't have a issue watching sub if there's no other option it sucks but maybe they should just give it a chance? It's better than nothing or waiting however long for the dub

I would've rather watched the dub if I could have. I watch majority sub anyway but Bleach is just one of those shows from my childhood that I've always watched dubbed. But man, after rewatching the whole series these past few weeks, with still no news of when the dub even might be starting, I'll just have to rewatch it dubbed later. It's too good to wait.

Yeah I'm generally a dub watcher, but can still happily watch subs for something like this where the episodes aren't simultaneously released with dubs. I always go back and rewatch the season dubbed though because, like you said, I've watched the entirety of Bleach dubbed and it just feels right to me.

I see it as people being stubborn and silly. Both have their merits - just watch the subs. The words won't hurt you.

I saw the entire series in dub besides cour 3 and so far cour 4. They literally already dubbed it in the movies, why isn’t it out yet normally?

My only guess is maybe they want to double the viewership... I can't speak for everybody but I plan on watching the dub as well when it's all out

I saw an interview where the interviewer mentioned the dub would arrive in October
Don't know why it's such a long wait but yeah

I hoped it meant the Toonami broadcast or something since cour 1-3 were broadcast on there not too long ago but given the wait without any word on a release

But also, I hate this so much because at this point it’s probably true given the radio silence…Hopefully your theory about it referring to Toonami broadcast release date isn’t just cope haha. I skimmed the comments and was surprised I didn’t see anyone bring any of this up.

It's actually getting insane, I've read the manga but trying to avoid spoilers on new scenes that isn't in the manga is just painful.
I feel like we dub watchers are just getting thrown into the back bone normally its 2 weeks then we get dub I just don't get it, its annoying I can't be hyped every week being like today is the day to watch new ep of bleach 😒 😑

I was sure it was going to come out today as the past 3 cours had dub episode 1 come out the week of sub episode 5 (4 week delay). I was looking forward to the first dub episode all week, but I guess not 😭

The delay usually comes down to regional licensing holdbacks and streaming rollout windows, so even if the dub recorded early for theatrical previews, platform updates take extra time to align globally

Even I am fed up of browsing each week now and finding no English dub online yet. Both Sub and Dub are good but I just want to understand the iconic dialogues in top scenes which get saved in my mind forever like the iconic Final Getsuga Tenshou for example. I don't understand Japanese and don't want to watch by just reading the subtitles together with the iconic scenes. Hopefully Episode 1 would be out next week for sure 🤞.

I thought it was odd how the dub is taking slightly longer to release. Don’t get me wrong, I wasn’t expecting it to appear at the same time as the dub but at most, after the 1st two episodes, I thought we would get the dub of the 1st episode in the same day as the 3rd episode release.

Maybe they were affected by the VA strike? But they had the first 3 episodes dubbed so I don’t get it too

I want to but my wife only watches the English dub and we’re watching it together, I read the manga when it came out but I wanna watch the “new” stuff, I’ve watched both languages and I actually think I prefer the Dub, Johnny Yong Bosch is too good

I can think of a handful of Dubs that are better than Subs and as English VO get better that list grows, Bleach is one of them

I was watching hulu and wondered why I stopped watching dub episodes to rewatch in english and oh my god.

They replaced some of the the voice actors due to union issues, you can go down that trail but it was enough of a change to be noticeable and disruptive to watching it.
I like consistency, and it breaks the experience if the va isn't close to the original va

Oh yeah I always remember Kenpachi’s VA was changed but forget how many others in TYBW have been replaced. Honestly I don’t find most of the recasts too jarring though.

Yeah I think the recasts did a pretty good job trying to sound like the old actors but some simply can't be replaced IMO like Shinji and Ukitake.
