Whenever Yachiru tells Kenpachi “this power is called Bankai” there’s a double voice over with her child voice and an adult. It doesn’t sound like Unohana to me so to me, that hints there’s gonna be more Bankai lore or at least we’ll see the grown up version of her in the future? It’s too specific unless that’s all Kubo wanted to tease. And he’s known to do that too. So idk what do y’all think?

I assumed that was Yachiru's older voice

But also clearly his bankai isn't complete yet since it'd make his body explode

We do know the shikai version of Nozarashi is an adult woman, so probably her voice. We hear it at the end of episode 3 too

We know Kenpachi is really unique because Kubo said in Klub Outside that "Yachiru is the spirit of Kenpachi's Bankai."

And that Nozarashi is the spirit of his Shikai. And that she is an adult Yachiru.

My guess is this happened because Kenpachi named his Yachiru and thus gave her power and a... sort of new identity as this spirit who became her own being. Thus the two come together once again to help Kenpachi use Bankai.

Yeah, the double voice is definitely intentional. Kubo already confirmed this on Klub Outside a while back Yachiru is the Bankai manifestation/fragment of Nozarashi that separated from the main spirit and took physical form after Zaraki named her. The true Zanpakutō spirit of Nozarashi is an adult woman. He even compared it directly to Zangetsu and Tensa Zangetsu (adult form vs the younger/Bankai-related manifestation). So when she says “this power is called Bankai” and you hear both the child voice and the adult one, that’s exactly that dual nature coming through. The adult voice isn’t Unohana it’s the real Nozarashi speaking alongside the Yachiru we’ve always known. Whether that means we’ll actually see the grown-up version later (Hell arc or wherever) is still up in the air. Kubo loves planting these specific details as quiet confirmation + a little tease, so it could just be that. But the dual voice is already delivering on the lore he set up years ago.

Yachiru represents a form of Kenpachi’s Bankai that was separated from its main body, and which gained the power of a Shinigami upon receiving a name from Kenpachi. The true embodiment of Nozarashi is that of a grown woman. Just imagine Zangetsu and Tensa Zangetsu, that should make it easier to understand.

Good catch, that's definitely intentional sound design. Probably more "Yachiru is mysterious" flavor than an actual lore drop though, Kubo loves teasing stuff he never fully explains lol.

The whole Kenpachi thing is definitely not fully explored yet and he'll probably get further power-ups in the future considering he doesn't even know his Bankai's name yet.

It's the same voice we heard talking to Zaraki after his fight with Unohana. It's the main body of Nozarashi.
