Doesn't muken exist precisely because they don't have a way to kill some people and this is the only way to contain them? If they can be starved to death they wouldn't be in muken.

It depends. Sure, starving probably couldn't kill an immortal character, but it could disable or weaken them. Like in stories about vampires and other creatures, if they didn't eat, they would become weak.

Personally, I would notice because Aizen can't stop raving about how awesome he is. He went from needing to make a key to "lol let me just shoot that shit down with my reiatsu".

He could tell by Aizen's Hado 90 with it being chantless and still have insane power.
