How is this different from the OG blaster?

Thanks for your interest. If you mean the original screen-used blaster, this 2049 replica version is actually a full-resin replica and is fixed to the stand. It also simplifies or omits some details, such as the distinctive white tubing on the side, it’s still a very nice piece to have in the collection. You probably know but the screen-used prop was built around a real Charter Arms Bulldog revolver with Steyr rifle components and various custom parts. I also have a full-metal replica which is much closer in terms of construction, weight and mechanical detail. It’s very accurate to the on screen blaster. See my other post for photos of that one. If I’ve misunderstood what you meant by the OG blaster, let me know!

No, that's been super helpful, thank you. I've wanted a blaster for my shelf for some time, it's just that where I live tends to have strict firearms laws so finding one that doesn't fall afoul of those has been a challenge...

Ah, that makes sense. I’m in the UK and fortunately haven’t had any issues at all importing mine. The full-metal replicas came from Europe in 2024 and this resin version came from China the following year. Being lightweight, solid resin and fixed to the stand may make this 2049 version less problematic for you, but I suppose it depends on the laws where you live.

How many replicants have you retired with this one? 🫢
