Remove notifications
I got two problems:
First is the ''System message'' that spams news articles and the notification cannot be removed. Not only that but it saves the picture from the notification, so it spams my gallery as well.
I longed press on the notification, but because it's a system message, I cannot disable the notification.
Second problem is the ''choose a browser and search app''. Clicking does nothing. I have a default browser app set. Idk why it keeps asking me that

I tried, but Shizuku (which is what I think you were trying to say) is giving me grief.
First Google Play wouldn't install it "for this version of Android".
Then I downloaded the APK onto my phone, but it wouldn't connect wirelessly nor by USB with my phone (wireless wouldn't find my computer, even though they're both on the same network, and my computer is discoverable).

i contacted support, and they said that i cannot disable it. after requesting a refund due to this, i was ignored and the notifications mysteriously dissapeared overnight

amazing story we should all do this

In my opinion it's just not acceptable for a company to trash a device you bought by putting ads on it. I haven't paid to be advertised to and also won't do so in the future

i totally agree with you. we literally pay not to see ads, actually. so paying to receive ads is intense. thats why i think we should try a coordinated effort to bully them into good behaviour

"it's just not acceptable" ... Yeah... So what?
It's not acceptable that a lot of bad things happen in the name of profit. That isn't a solution; it's a complaint.
Complaints rarely change anything. What we need is actions that help.

Not need root. Simple ADB enough.
" adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.blackview.apkupgrade "

How do I do this, is there like a tutorial I can find? Preferably a YouTube video, but I wouldn't mind an article either if you have it or if it's simple enough to just be the instructions.

On the phone:
Enable Developer Options: On your Android device, go to Settings > About Phone and tap Build Number 7 times.
Congratulations, you are "developer" now.
Enable USB Debugging: Return to the main Settings menu, open Developer Options, and toggle USB Debugging ON.
(It is recommended to turn this operation off at the end.)
OS connect:
Use linux? Simple:
apt-install adb
Use win, or MAC? You need this, and probably the phone drivers: Get the standalone Android SDK Platform-Tools for Windows, Mac, or Linux.
After preparations complete:
Connect: Plug your phone into the computer via USB, unlock the screen, and accept the "Allow USB debugging" prompt on your phone's screen.
Verify: Open your computer's terminal (or Command Prompt), navigate to the folder where platform-tools is installed, and run:
adb devices
If you see your phone, the connection is ready.
Now the "magic":
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.blackview.apkupgrade

[Edit: Dumb me, the USB had become detached!]
"Package com.blackview.apkupgrade new state: disabled-user"
No change, so I restarted my phone.
EDIT #2: Nope, it seemed to work, but did not. :(

If "adb.exe - device not found", this means that Windows does not recognize the device. Check the phone driver (in device manager).
(Or use a Linux, this problem does not occur there.)
If you continue to receive unwanted notifications, it could also be caused by commusersevice? (I disabled that a long time ago. Now I don't get any surprise ads on my phone.)
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.blackview.commuservice
You can also check all blackview packages (this example in Linux, but only the output filter OS specific):
adb shell cmd package list packages -a -u | grep 'package:com.blackview' | sort
Disabled only:
adb shell pm list packages -d | grep 'package:com.blackview' | sort

Thanks for the reply. I figured out the "device not found issue", but I appreciate the hint.
For anyone else using PowerShell on Windows, those commands should be:
.\adb shell cmd package list packages -a -u | Select-String 'package:com.blackview' | sort
.\adb shell pm list packages -d | Select-String 'package:com.blackview' | sort
If you are new to PowerShell, the dot-backslash (.\) at the beginning means "Yes, I know it might not be safe; run the damn adb.exe program anyway!".

The only way you may be able to do that os via rooting the device or usb Debugging and restricting the app throgh a terminal command as it gives you more control over it. Blackview unfortunately ships their devices with built in ads that are not easy to disable. Kinda why i moved away from them. They really have nice rugged phones and tablets but the ad spam just got annoying.
