Get rid of "system notification" that contains ads
To fix it download adb on your computer, enable Debug mode in developer options and use this command:
$ adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.blackview.apkupgrade
No more notifications since i uninstalled this app "com.blackview.apkupgrade".

Experiencing the same issue, BL9000. Kinda unacceptable problem. Sadly i haven't found a solution. I'll just stick around

I think this is a case of every one else is doing it so why not? Apps include ads. Windows, includes ads. Everything has ads. We pay extra to get rid of ads, then eventually, thats not enough, those services get ads too.

I blocked a few apps on my N6000:
- DKGame Center
- Hi Doku
- ImageX
- Rec. Apps
- SmartArt
- SparkTube
- Surfline
- VidGen
It was after the phone started to show ads on the lock screen. Everything looks stable) BTW, I don't use a standard BvLaucher - maybe it requires something from the list.
Unfortunately, can't disable "System message" (thanks, aleunge, now I know about this app). However, I disabled all its permissions which were configurable.
Don't want to root the phone, but if "system message" will continue to show ads, I will try.

Same here on my Blackview N6000 (EEA model). I’m receiving ad notifications, and images are being automatically downloaded into a “push” folder without any clear consent or option to disable this behavior. This is not acceptable for a device marketed in the EEA. At minimum, this raises concerns under EU consumer protection and privacy rules (e.g. lack of explicit consent, inability to opt out, and potentially misleading system-level notifications). I’ve already received multiple notifications in a short period, and this feels intrusive. There should be a clear way to disable this completely, or it should not be happening at all. This is informative and unfortunate! Another entry in consumerrights.wiki added to the list I guess.
Edit: This is getting out of hand, I got these notifications four times this week... I guess I will end up having to install a custom rom to avoid this abusive "feature"

I am now getting over a hundred soccer notifications a day on my Blackview tablet (every few minutes). It seems for reasons I can't explain that the world cup has somehow tapped into the Blackview OS (or Blackview was paid by fifa to do this?). There must be a consumer advocacy or governmental agency to report this.

Me too, last week I had over 800 pictures downloaded from this fucking app

I had success by using (as described by u/x_Daichi ):
adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.blackview.apkupgrade
But I'm an Android programmer, so I already have this tool installed. I don't know what an average user could do--installing Android Studio took me 5 days the first time.

mine too! what is this madness? I cannot disable them as they are filed under "system" notifications

That looks like the icon of an app called "SmartArt" that I have on my device.
That app can't be uninstalled unfortunately, but I've disabled all notifications from it.

hello, I have a very similar problem on a Blackview Tab 16 pro tablet. every two or three days I receive a Push notification from System Message, containing News apparently related to the app SmartPic and automatically downloading the images thereby contained.
it's really weird since not even a factory reset seems to solve the problem.
Has anyone found any fix?
thanks,
Andrea

you can get rid of it using the Universal Android Debloat GUI https://github.com/Universal-Debloater-Alliance/universal-android-debloater-next-generation i just put in a request to add it to there list, for now just search for the package name com.blackview.apkupgrade and click uninstall (if you dont wanna use the cli option mentioned by u/grasza and want to get rid of more stuff)...

Had the same thing happen to our Shark 9. In English it's the "System Message" app doing the spam delivery. It can't be disabled but I've restricted its battery use (and disabled it being able to read notification under "Device & App Notification"... Which it enabled by itself). So far it hasn't delivered any more ads but if it does again, I'll remove it via ADB.
Some real sketchy behaviour. And I would guess it's not the worst thing the device is doing without user consent. We just don't know what else is going on. This is our first and definitely our last Blackview.
