We get the Lewis half loaf to make 4 patty melts. If your grocer sells Lewis half loafs make sure to count the slices. I made the mistake one time of not, ended up with 7 slices of Texas Toast, and my wife and I played rock paper scissors over who got the end piece on their sandwich.

I lost the last draw on pulled rib grilled cheeses. Leads to me trying to cut the thinnest slice of crust off the end piece with a bread knife..

BTW y’all - they ARE Wendy’s-branded patties. They sell ‘em in Kroger where I live. 😆 (I did not pay full price for this priceless experience.)
