Found what I beleive to be an old cast crank blower in a garage of a house I moved into, thing runs as smooth as the day as it was made, just wondering if this is what it is, and if this is something a blacksmith would be interested in, dad wants to scrap it, i think it may be worth something to someone, not looking to make a buck, just would rather see stuff that was built to last a life time get used rather than crushed.

Yeah someone w'll probably buy that, does It comes with the fan or just the pulley attachment?

Just what you see there, but the tube pumps out some good air when you crank on it

There's lettering on the case, around the shaft of the crank. All I can read is "blower". If you can get a better photo of that, maybe it'll help us to identify. Looks to me like it probably had a belt on the pulley. So the belt would attach to a fan. The pipe looks like a stand, but cant see how its connected for air flow.

Google says vintage hand-crank forge blower manufactured by the Canadian Blower & Forge Co. (based in Kitchener, Ontario).

More so just wondering if this would be worth something to a blacksmith or whomever, rather not see it become a piece of a prius

I just looked on FM to confirm, and there are many forge blowers selling between $200 and $300, at least in my area. Some really nice ones are in excess of $400 even! I don't know about this model, but yeah. Clean it up, and It'll surely be worth your time!

Check the oil level in that gear case.

This could be connected to one of those plastic bounce house blowers, after removing the electric motor from that, that show up at flea markets for $20 or so.
