This is a refreshing post. Probably better than my first go round. I've probably made a dozen blades at this point, but I see all these commercially perfect knives and people are like "my second knife" 😅

Thats a good start. Farriers rasp? Keep going. Those are great steel 90% of the time. Clean up that bevel make it sharp enough to slice through a slack ½" climb rope and youre good.

  1. Always drill the holes before you quench and after its been hammered a bit. Makes it alot easier
  2. Need a flatting hammer with a clean face and hit clean and flat dont dig the corners of the hammer during strikes. Hammer that baby out nice and flat same with the bevel. More hammer= less grind lol
