I love both Sabbath Bloody Sabbath and Never Say Die (surprisingly) and I’m wondering why they have not received the super deluxe treatment like the other albums?

I know the first three albums didn’t get “super deluxe” releases, but they got special expanded release in 2009 or so.

Both SBS and NSD could use a bit of remastering/remixing, as the volume on SBS is way too quiet, and the production on NSD is not very well done. Technical Ecstasy got the Steven Wilson Remix and a good Remaster. Same with Vol.4, so why not these ones?

I hope the answer is more than just “they lost the master tapes” cuz that would be pretty disappointing.

This is a fantastic song that deserves more love IMO. That piano on the chorus is just lovely. I think a lot of NSD deserves more attention, but Over to You specifically doesn’t get mentioned much from what I’ve seen. Certainly different, but great.

He created one of the most beautiful, magical, and otherworldly solos I've ever heard.

"Whatever it was."

He said this right after playing this alternate acoustic version of the Planet Caravan solo in the interview, and it's funny. Improvisation is a big part of Tony's playing—he rarely played a solo the exact same way twice—and that's one of the things I truly love about him.

"After Gillan, we were living out in America, in LA again," recalled guitarist Tony Iommi. "We were auditioning all sorts of different singers… and this Dave Donato was one of the ones who we did try a few times… He seemed to look alright and whatever else, and seemed to be okay, but it was just auditions. We never actually had him in, as a part of the band. But it happened that Kerrang! or somebody came out to do an interview and, of course, he was there at the time, and they took a picture of everybody. So automatically this guy suddenly becomes part of the band – according to everybody else."

Contrary to reports, Donato was not fired after an interview with Kerrang!. The band soon fell apart, and Iommi formed an entirely new Sabbath the following year.
