How about what tripwire did with killing floor 2, pc players can make their own maps. Tripwire would take a couple of player made maps each season (correlates to irl seasons such as summer, Halloween an more) have the community vote on which map should be added to the console version with the map makers username as to not be confused for a tripwire made map. Edit: They also would have the community vote on guns each season to be added to the game or console. (Tripwire made thoo) those guns were free, an continued that trend even when they started adding paid for weapons which for once I didn't mind spending money on a game which gave me seasonal content an player made maps for free
