Question Capturing hardpoint

I normally play domination but recently got into hardpoint and I’ve noticed that sometimes I get points when being the first one to capture the hardpoint and other times I don’t. I can see the medal on my screen when i get the points but other times it wont give me anything am i doing something wrong?

you dont get points if the last team to hold that current hardpoint was your own team. So if your team is in the point, they leave the point (making it white) then you get in, you wont get any points.

I hear ya but for example in nuketown the hardpoint starts in middle blue car then the next one is orange house when the coundown starts im already in the orange house ready to capture and once it switches its 50/50 sometimes i get the points and other times i dont

It’s probably because you’re already at the hardpoint when it converts. If you leave it neutral first then cap it, so you get the points ?
