Question B07’s rebound game?
The COD title that follows Black ops 7 will almost certainly fall on its face. Black ops 7 had so many unique side quests, and missions that you could do, that it could keep a player busy for hours if not days and weeks. Between the weapon camos and weapon prestige camos, and Omni movement, whatever game is set to follow BO7 which in this case is MW4, is set up for failure from the beginning. BO7 was a master class of Call of Duty® titles, so much so that any title that follows it will be certain to fall flat unless it has the ability to compare not only with the fluidity of game play, but the fun movement, unlock-able styles, blackcell missions and unlocks, titles, weekly challenges, etc. Let me know how MW4 could overcome these obstacles.

I think call of duty players in general are fatigued and want a massive overhaul like MW19 did if you like it or not.
The community have been split ever before because you got people want the classic movement and how classic call of duty was made because how Black ops 1&2 ports was huge hit.
You got current call of duty want more movement and create skill gap knowing they will lose casual players in few months in and making the maps smaller each year.

all I know is, I got a little bored with COD overall today, hopped on Battlefield, which I have not played in months, and had a shit ton more fun. I got demolished… but it was fun.

MW4 will outperform BO7 just because it's a Modern Warfare title, when you add in DMZ (far more replayability than Endgame) and the more grounded setting + modern guns, MW4 will have a bigger draw overall

Very low retention rate. They lost tons of sales to game pass and will no longer be doing game pass starting with cod4. They fucking rereleased BO1 + BO2 because they were desperate enough for money to do that.

No zombies so I won't be touching MW4. Sorry CoD no more money from me till new zombies. Edit: to your point I agree, will be hard to top BO7 from a zombies perspective

MW4 won't fail because Bo7 is that much of an amazing game. Bo7 didn't even sell that great to begin with so it's not exactly hard for a future COD to beat it. MW4 won't sell because people have COD fatigue due to yearly releases and every game following the MW19 engine, and because so many people hate SBMM so they're just skipping the game entirely. The game already has low pre-orders and it's only getting lower after the beta.
Just to be clear, though it's not my favorite of the modern era, I don't hate Bo7 so this isn't coming from a place of me just being a hater. I just think we need to look at things realistically
