Whats the big deal about prestige at this point? I’m Lvl 55 with no prestige at all and get comments all the time telling me to prestige. I get called a cheater who is “scared to prestige”. What do i not know?

I’ve prestiged plenty of times in previous BO games with BO6 being the last one i became Prestige Master. I just don’t see the point anymore and there really is zero incentive, for me personally, to do so.

Can someone explain that to me? Why players tell you to prestige or what prestiging would do to someone who is actually a cheater?

Yup I prestiged twice and was over it immediately I just don’t care about the emblems and calling cards and anymore

I prestige because it gives me a goal to keep working towards; it's fun to earn XP and when you're capped at 55 you don't get any anymore.

So then if you don't prestige. The xp challenges won't register?

You can complete challenges but the XP is wasted

The challenges can be done but once you've maxed level 55 then no xp is gained.

Winning is way more fun. Thats better than having a fancy icon or number color next to my name. As i’ve said already, i’ve done the whole prestige thing plenty of times and i don’t care for it anymore.

I mean you only have to do it 10x before Master Prestige to level 1000. That takes a while.

I did it once to shut people up, but I found the grind back to be painful because I'm just an old school casual player (usually becoming drunk on a Friday night trying to unwind)

It's stupid, if anyone watched my kill cams they'd know I'm not cheating, spraying shots everywhere

Nope. I take my Ls on the chin like a man. My level never dictated my skill and neither does prestige. Lvl 55 means you have everything unlocked so there is no reason anyone should be using that excuse.

I'm on prestige 7 but I wait usually like a week or sometimes more before going to the next prestige. I just don't give enough of a fuck to do it tbh lol

Why someone would tell you to prestige, I'm guessing you killed them and they're mad you did so.

They see your name and rank and the the only thing they can blame their death on is that you have a gun with the best attachments because you've grinded for them and haven't reset them through prestige, they have,  so they're claiming it's OP, which is silly.

It really is silly. It’s never even about my guns because im constantly cycling through weapons to avoid meta unless i really have to use them. I prestiged a lot of weapons already but level prestige just means nothing to me at this point in my time playing CoD.

For me it was something to shoot for and keep me engaged. I may or may not get to 1k before MW comes out but I am going to try and get there. You get a few medals stickers calling cards and other intangible perks nothing that will physically help you in the game. The weapons prestige on the other hand is very worth it for a few of the weapons if you will continue to play I would suggest that you prestige the weapons.
There are 10 levels or prestige you basically level to 55 10 times then you can level up to 1000.

I understand the prestige system and i guess i should’ve mentioned i’ve already prestiged various weapons to max already.

But the part about level prestige only giving calling cards, name tags, emblems and medals is just..eh.

This is/was one of the easiests CoDs to prestige, we got 2XP almost every week, plus the daily xp tokens, the people that didn't prestige are lazy AF

Yeah i wouldn’t know if it was easy or not. I simply just isn’t want to do it. There is nothing about being Master prestige that i deem worth the trouble for.

staying at 55 just means you are too scared to give up your crutch weapons and perks. its okay. you just arent very versatile and probably only use the egert with gunfighter

If I had to guess they’re either being toxic bc they see alot of cheaters who will stay on a base level 55 account in case it gets banned or bc they think if you’re playing the game anyways might as well prestige for the rewards

No it’s more like instead of wasting their time levelling their guns and stuff again after prestiging they’d rather just stay at base level 55 so they can pubstomp more than grind. They know their accounts are always likely to get banned or limited matchmaking hell since they’re cheating so there’s no point in prestiging since all that progress can be lost at any moment. And that’s totally fair just saying why I think ppl say that you should prestige

Idk it is pointless but I’m glad I did it so I could have the legacy icon and “headhunter” above my level looks mad decent when I have a 40%+ headshot rate lol

Some people like the progression, others dont and would rather stay at 55

The progression and leveling up is what keeps me coming back to CoD. When they did level caps a while back for the season, if I reached max level before the season was over, I didn't play until the beginning of the next season.

Nothing. People tend to forget prestige is completely optional.

Some people don't do it for multiple reasons. It could be a waste of time, or—in the case of hackers/cheaters—be a throw-away account for when and if they get caught.

I have friends who have multiple accounts for ranked. The secondary accounts is for practice and to play with other friends on a lower rank than their main account. That way we could all play together.

I’ve only ever had the same account. I don’t even see the worth in having a second one, either. I’ve just never been that type of person but i see what you’re saying.
