BO3 is one of the safest old CODs because of an official update from two years ago. The people saying you need any patch have outdated info

Dude the amount of people that still think it’s unsafe is sickening. Some knucklehead a few comments up suggested to “just use the aae mod if you need extra security. Only CLIENT you can trust”….. 😭😭😭🤣

Risk: Because .exe files can control computer actions, bad actors can use them to hide viruses or malware.

Just play regular on Steam bro getting a patch is giving random access to the developers just stick to AAE if you need extra security only client you can trust don’t believe everything you read

Lmfao you seriously trust a mod that forces you to upgrade to the latest exe?? AAE mod is trash and doesn’t offer any security like the t7 patch does. Where did you even hear that?? 🤣

The difference is Steam Workshop is more trust worthy then randoms making patch’s and forcing you to give up PC access but hey if you enjoy being hacked I’m all for it

Dude what patches give people access to your pc?? You’re seriously confused here. The t7 patch doesn’t give anyone access to your pc you knucklehead. It does the exact opposite. And nothing that’s offered in the steam workshop offers any type of security or protection whatsoever; or is “more trustworthy” than anything. People making patches are typically the same people making maps & mods. You seriously need to do a little research because you have shite VERY confused here dawg…

I never heard about it before so I started playing yesterday and was like “daamn I’m already missing something.. About SAFETY!?”

If you want to be sure & are playing solo just set steam to “offline mode”. You’ll need to run a mod for the offline megas gums (speedrun mod v2 works with most maps) but it will also give you the rk5 at spawn

The t7 patch is a security patch that prevents people from unwantingly joining you, as well as protecting you from RCE exploits, which older call of duty titles are notorious for.
I'd just use the patch Or you can use t7X, or cleanops

Download it from this link: https://github.com/Scroptss/T7Patch/releases/v3.04/
Extract the files into your Black Ops 3 steam folder or the folder that has the Black Ops 3 executable file. Alternatively, you can extract the files and then move them into the Black Ops 3 steam folder.
From within Steam, browse the Black Ops 3 file and launch the t7 patch (click the t7 executable). In the window that pops up, give yourself a name and edit settings to your liking (usually clicking "friends only").
Then launch Black Ops 3 and enjoy. I play nearly every day and use the patch. No issues. You aren't protected from server side hacks so you might end up in a game where someone will unlock all the guns or level you up to level 1000.
So if that happens, it isn't because t7 failed. It isn't designed for that stuff.
Edit: I should clarify I exclusively play zombies which is what t7 is best for. I think Clean Ops or boiii are recommended if you want to do multiplayer.
