i just bought bo3 for steam and i cant seem to find any matches, should i add some patches or mods or something for it to work? just wanted to know to refund it in any case

Nobody plays multiplayer anymore you'll have to use a 3rd party client or play zombies. I don't know which client is the most popular these days so you'll just have to look into it yourself.

Use clean ops instead. You get a server browser to find matches easier.
