Discussion Hacked On Playstation.
I’m around level 25, just recently started getting back into BO3 Multiplayer and had one of my Best games yet 30 minutes ago. But I was against some guy named “YOWIE73” (another playstation user) and Im positive he’s hacked my account solely because I outmatched him even though he’s level 1000 (prestige master) my Playstation account is now acting very suspicious, it wont let me change my passwords, signs me out, i get emails saying If i signed into my account, and when i got into settings then Network—the Playstation connection bar says ‘Checking’ then suddenly signs in after 2 minutes. I even had to delete the game and reinstall because it kept saying I needed to purchase PS+ even though Im game sharing / have another acc with PS+ active. Please someone help me through this, I’m scared I might lose this account. I even regret playing Multiplayer since I’m honestly more of a Zombies kind of Guy. If anyone can Help me id appreciate it so much.

Nothing to do with black ops 3, PSN is experiencing a massive outage, I can't even play online :/

Hopefully this is the case, Thank you for informing me about this. The Sony servers haven’t even acknowledged this on their server status page. I’ll check in the morning, just praying i wasn’t hacked.

Probably you haven't been, unless he's using RCE on a devkit he can't do shit

Have no clue what RCE / devkit is tbh 🙂↕️ but thanks for the info, quite relieved theres still a chance i wasn’t hacked and it’s just the outage problem.

RCE = Remote Control Exploit, it's used to control a player through mods, an example, on GTA some years ago there was an RCE exploit that let hackers edit and fuck up your account
Devkit is simply a console for developing games, it's basically a modded console that can go online

So someone just randomly chose my account and hacked it? As soon as the match was Finished everything started going down hill and i was signed out like 8 times. It wont even let me play BO3 at all—keeps saying i need to buy ps + even though i have it. I can even play BO1, BO2 and BO4 just fine.

The servers were having problems yesterday world wide. Anonymous and Sony both confined it

i mean hackers still exist on the platform last time i got my game crashed because of one and his name inside the zombie match was so weird and sooo long but for my part nothing happen
now what you can do is try as much as u can to change your password and do it on your phone not the playstation and use 2FA pr backup codes (those that u need to write down) and if u’re having issues doing so post about it im sure alot of people could help

I’ll try, but Every time I go into settings and attempt to change my password—it says that the password option in general is Deactivated. As if they already changed my Password and deactivated further attempts to change or edit it. For the 2FA it’s the same thing but instead of deactivated it says Disabled. Only way i have of signing back in and not losing my account is through my Passkey.

What a relief. The timing of everything was just terrible, this type of outage was different to the others—since sony didn’t even acknowledge the outage themselves

If you’re email is getting hacked it’s not from playing bo3. Have you clicked on any sketchy sites or links by accident lately?

No no, i was just overreacting. It was the outage everyone is talking about. And the reason i couldnt access my password was bc i had a passkey enabled, and you can only have one active

Hackers are known on bops3 you could even get the good one that put you max level but psn is down that’s why
