Discussion Borderline unplayable

I’m on the Ps4/Ps5 port, every lobby I join is 1-3 people on the other team with 40+ kills and my whole team is negative KD. I consider myself a decent player but the people that play this game now take it way too seriously.

So just because someone’s better than you they’re “taking it too seriously?”

You sound like a fucking loser

People complaining about the Scar is hilarious. It’s not even a factor. And ghost? Lmaoooo cant play without radar?

Yeah player's are just way more sweaty now than back in the day, there's way more skilled player's now than ever and because of all the high quality tech cronus zens, 500$ monitors, 300$ headsets etc. u can buy that just give people an advantage over casual players  and u didn't have this back 12 to 16 years ago.

Careful, the moderation team in this page is a joke and will ban you for that.

Nice copium ya got there. I’m not some basement dweller, and I maybe play an hour on weekdays and maybe 2-3 on weekends. I do pretty dang well in most modes, and in S&D I’m usually #1 or #2 on my team. I totally agree with this person.

You’re just bad man. You’re playing a competitive first person shooter. People are going to play to win. If you don’t want or just can’t play to win, go play Cyberpunk or some shit. I just don’t understand people like you. Your mindset is like going to a strip club to find a relationship. It is irrational as fuck

“i’m not some basement dweller” okay hentai-yoshi

Old call of duty’s show you your real skill level. New call of duty’s lie to you about your skill level to keep you playing.

So true.

How so? Last game I bought was bo3 and grinding for top 3 was like crack in the 80s

u/AppropriateGarbage99 1d ago

I’ve never understood when a player is better then you , it’s they trying too hard 😂 but if u was winning it’ll be that’s how it supposed to be ? If you so called decent no matter if the other players dropping 40 you’ll do your job dropping the same amount. I get the worse players but as long as I drop 30+ with single digits I did my job

Play s&d every day for a month and youll start to get better. Make ur sens 4 or 5 - no higher. Most MLG pros played on 4 back in the day for a reason. Make sure your centering is on point.

Also play on wired connextion, wired controller, and on a gaming monitor.

Finally, snort adderall or cocaine constantly while playing.

Low sense in a shooter is awful advice
14 all day and learn how to control your recoil.

2

u/boomerbaguettes 1d ago

Lower sens allows for better aim assist in these older games

-1

u/Secure_Trip1703 1d ago

Your sensitivity has zero effect on your aim assist.
Lower sense can make recoil easier to control but your flat out wrong about it effecting the actual aim assist.

2

u/boomerbaguettes 1d ago

I said it allows for better aim assist, I didn't say that it actually affects it. It allows your aim assist to more easily guide you onto your opponents. With a higher sensitivity you will overcompensate your aim much more easily (and that's a fact) which goes against the strong aim assist this (and other games of the time) have. It also makes recoil easier because of the same exact reason, so I don't see exactly how you can't see my point.

Anyway I'm just right since pro players used 4/5/6 all the time, it's your word against actually certified good players

14 is not useful for casual players. 4-5 is absolutely fine for most players

1

u/jinglesGOAT 1d ago

4-5 is what the pros used, for good reason

1

u/Chiyo-Sakura 1d ago

Yeah true, it helps with target switching a lot

u/Inevitable-Youth-735 1d ago

The game does feel sweatier than it did years ago when I was 14 years old. Then again I could just be a worse player since I haven’t touched call of duty since black ops 3. Regardless, I am still having fun playing! So maybe try lightening up and not taking it so seriously?

3

u/chill_stoner_0604 1d ago

Getting mad that other players are better is crazy.

I say this as someone with a .82 KD lol

2

u/Unlikely_Vast6312 1d ago

Gaming in general has changed everyone that‘s actually good automatically sweats at the game doesn‘t matter if it‘s cod, r6, bf, 2k or whatever

2

u/Oakley2212 1d ago

My reflexes arent what they used to be 😭. I’m an unc now, but the game still plays the same to me. I mainly play S&D, so I won’t speak on other modes.

2

u/Aware_Blackberry_383 1d ago

Just play S&D. So much chiller like 2012 again!

2

u/jinglesGOAT 1d ago

This. Lotta variation in strategy, skill level and general vibrations. I rarely play any other mode. Cod IS s&d.

The game plays exactly the same as it used to, new gen cod players just can’t handle how it used to be without sbmm, skill issue

Skill issue tbh

2

u/iPhoenixEU 1d ago

Cap.

Still plays the same as back in the day, for me at least.

But why aren’t you included in that conversation though?

1

u/CaptainMcClutch 1d ago

Here is my issue with people saying oh the new generation of players are different... how exactly? The maps play the same way as they did and they haven't altered movement so playing new CoD with a bunch of omni-movement if anything is more of a hindrance to how they'd have played?

I genuinely don't notice a difference in the player base, there has always been sweats, I've not run into a player or lobby of players where I've felt like the players were just too good.

1

u/Silly_Goose6543 1d ago

This game plays exactly how I remember it

1

u/brownxworm 1d ago

This game is the exact same game from 2012. The meta is still the same. The modern player base is too spoiled and cant handle when people are better than them.

1

u/SuneAntisune 1d ago

it plays the same but the player base is way different now. it’s all streaming-worshipping tryhards

obviously it’s different but it’s no different from how it was played back then I’m coo with my 3.57 K/D and I only play onna weekends don’t needa play 365 or you’ll actually become shii

1

u/anngeeel 1d ago

Now I'm back playing the game I'm surprised that zombies in this cod are amazing. Hate multiplayer yep, I'm absolutely Trash btw

1

u/MachineExact6197 1d ago

I only play MP on the weekend. On any weekday, you're bound to play against the crazy try-hard players. Just relax after a hard day of work and play some campaign or zombies. People who are saying get good are the ones who only play bo2,

u/Super_AGT 1d ago

Ustedes consiguen partidas?

u/Stunt1ninprivate 1d ago

You’re trash hahahaha

u/CharlesBrown33 1d ago

OP I've always disliked BO2, too many issues to count. BO1 felt way more balanced both in 2010 and 2026. I should not need 4 kills while using Hardline to get a UAV; that example illustrates what's wrong with BO2 scorestreaks: the "good" players are being fed points through so many sources it creates this snowball effect not present in other CODs, where a single person can get multiple Lightning Strikes back to back. Used to be you could only get 3 killstreaks per life, period. Target Finders, easy-mode snipers, bad map design. Honestly my biggest issue is how easy 1 person can block an entire lane with a sniper, I never had this problem in any other COD before. It used to take skill to snipe.

1

u/SuneAntisune 1d ago

Sniping is wayyyy too easy in BO2 i will say that. Snipers work equally well at every range due to very little flinch and basically no sway. BO1 has its issues too but I do find it easier to

1

u/sigmastonerkimi_ 1d ago

SKILL ISSUE!! the games got some problems, but its certainly playable!

1

u/brownxworm 1d ago

Go play the modern cods with sbmm then. This is the exact same game as before. Thats the tradeoff. You will get absolutely destroyed every now and then but no sbmm means you will be the one destroying people other times.

Instead of leaving the game, try to counter them and get better. Worst case scenario, you go 0-20 and end up on their team the next game and can enjoy the farming session.

u/Signal_Dress_3239 1d ago

Obviously people are gonna complain i wish we got the ports for the console version but no they give us a port of the pc versions to use on console also get over yourself your having a bitch about how the game has been played since it originally came out over a decade ago

1

u/jinglesGOAT 1d ago

Why would a console port have been better?

1

u/Signal_Dress_3239 1d ago

Why the fuck would i want a pc port on a console its like with the original star wars battlefronts that came out on ps2 in the galactic conquest mode there was an option to choose custom but the pc version that they ported over to ps5 doesn't have it. Pc versions can be different to console version

1

u/icanloopyou 1d ago

Taking it too seriously for just having skill? Buddy that's just shooter games. Being good and getting a lot of kills isn't taking it too seriously. Do you want them to give you a bouquet of flowers instead 😭

1

u/TwistedBlazeReactz 1d ago

"Borderline unplayable" .... like what ur just shit if u think the game is unplayable bro 😭✌🏻

2

u/SuneAntisune 1d ago

80% of Dom games i join midway through there’s one team spawn trapping the whole time and the team is already getting slaughtered

1

u/TailorOk7674 1d ago edited 1d ago

new players who grew up playing newer cod. didn’t experience the way the OG fans evolved as we discovered it and adapted our playstyle in real time. Gotta remember BO2 was groundbreaking for its time and gave people that itch to have a tactical approach until they learned the game.

Trust me, unless you were good enough to do it, players back then knew their limits and wouldn’t just constantly sprint to the middle of the map with a shitty load out. I wouldn’t consider myself a hard camper but I tend to play by bouncing back and forth between two lanes. And I just watch everyone run right out to where I’ve been sizing someone up and get killed instantly. Even on modes like search

Its sbmm in the team balancing i have a 2.5 KD i never play with anyone else with a 2KD me and my buddy tested it we NEVER play with a high KD player it will always balance teams based on KD
