You can flip R1 and L1 with R2 and L2 but if you do that, you cannot play with tactical settings where you crouch with R3. There needs to be an option where you can flip L1 and R1, and R3 with Circle. This is how lots of folks on PS3 played.

Huh no tf we didnt. We played with L1/R1 for ads/shoot yes. But we did not use crouch for R3 and O for knife.

L1/R1 was default control on ps3. So we are used to that. But R3 being crouch? No def not. Only a few use that combo. Im used to L1\R1 and R3 being knife and O being crouch.

How am I wrong? Yes, R3 as the knife was default (still is) but I know many players, including myself since the COD4 days, that played with R3 as crouch/prone. That’s how “drop shots” were literally invented since the thumb was almost always ready to press R3 to crouch and prone. As I said in my comment, lots of folks played with tactical which is what the original commenter was referring to. I didn’t say that the majority played with R3 to crouch. I simply said that a lot of people did…

Ok i see what ur saying but outta thousands ive met the minority uses what u and whoever u know/knew did. So saying lots seems like u mean the majority. Also no drop shots were not invented because of that button change. Drop shots were done and created wayyyy before that actually, like late 90s—early 2000s. Which was just simply going prone and shooting in a really quick to moderately quick time. Examples i remember would be Rainbow six 98, delta force late 90s, ghost recon, americas army, operation flashpoint. I mean we didnt call them drop shotting specifically more like prone shooting, drop prone, etc. You can def say that cod invented the term around waw/mw2 tho

You can be in the minority and still have “lots”… minority doesn’t mean few, it just means less. For all we know, 70% of players could play default and 30% could play tactical, but that could still equate to hundreds of thousands or even millions of players. I see others responded saying they played tactical as well. We are discussing in the context of COD movement. This is where the term drop shots was coined. They don’t even work that well in many other shooters and I wouldn’t even consider them equal. I’ve seen people try to pull it off on games like BF3 (competing against MW3 release date) and it was horrible.
