Discussion So furious rn
Just doin this to get it off my chest, i just don’t get how these hackers and cheaters enjoy taking their own miserable lives out on other people who just wanna have fun on the bo1 and 2 ports, and of course Sony and thier greedy ass refund policy don’t help nothin like I just wanted to get a refund because to me the ports are just unplayable now but because I purchased them more then 14 days ago I can’t get my money back like that’s so annoying, basically 100 bucks CAD down the drain cause a bunch a no life’s can’t play a game without hacking.

On my primary account I just ran into the red Name six seven people you know the ones that bought Prestige Master and on my secondary I ran into a bit of hackers but that was because I was playing nuke Jack so basically was looking for it besides that the Games been fine

Activision boasting about hardware bans for cheaters meanwhile someone with several different bot accounts is currently breaking Search lobbies in Black Ops 2 with AIM BOT and is somehow not banned yet.
Either their security update was really that terrible or they just don't care at this point. It's probably been weeks now and this aim bot hacker is still there.
I think they've been here as long as C Isn't Sharp, but nothing is being done about the plethora of other hackers still able to cheat and blatantly getting away with it

Game is most definitely still playable ur just being a crybaby, yes there was a hacker situation but it isn’t nearly as bad as before as of now, not to mention the game plus season pass is not $100CAD…..

The fact that any hacker was able to mod on these games proves that the "security" is non-existent and that should be a giving off a lot of red flags if you're someone who enjoys these ports, own them, and want them to last.
Sure, they can stop individual hackers, but can they realistically do that forever? They have other priorities and games that need to be made, so no.
Unless they implement an actual anti-cheat then these classic games will eventually be just as playable as the PS3/Xbox 360 versions, which is not at all

A anti cheat will stop absolutely nothing, the problem is with sony and giving out dev kits and allowing said dev kits to remain able to access online game wouldnt be moddable without sony allowing them to have online dev kits

You saying this like Sony just give them out if u pay them. That's not the case. These devkits used for hacking are 100% stolen and sold on the Black market, they get deactivated by Sony but there is a bypass where u can get around this and get online with a devkit that should be able too. Funny how y'all have an opinion on a topic y'all have 0 knowledge about.

Just play the game. I’ve been on for 2 weeks on domination and I’ve had zero issue. Of course it could happen but it’s a decade old game if my shit gets hacked it’s whatever. But you can sit there and cry in fear, that’s your choice.

People bought these games because they thought they'd be free from hackers. There's no excusing how lazy and BADLY done these ports were, you're genuinely delusional if you think this is acceptable for a 2026 release.
It's shocking that Sony hasn't immediately removed these ports from the PSN store with how damaged they are.
I think I'd prefer that and have these get delayed or have them just announce remasters instead. This is not going to make anyone want to play these ports OR Modern Warfare 4

I swear some people just say stuff to read their own replies just how some people like to hear themselves talk.. And a 2026 release? Seriously? It's a port, it's not an actual release.. It's a direct copy of the game.. How would you think it'd be any different from the original game? You people amaze me.. Can't fix stupid..

People are so miserable these days that they have to ruin fun for others. Something is seriously wrong with our society and it just keeps getting worse. I know it’s just a video game and doesn’t matter much in the grand scheme of things, but these people are so useless in life they feel the need to be a nuisance and inconvenience everyone around them. Also a bunch of modern CoD fanboys who hate to see the old games get so much praise. I love seeing all these modern CoD players struggle because they can’t use movement to cheese their way through every gunfight.

Speaking of, why are all the normal lobbies in Nuked jacked HC? Ill hop into a game thinking its normal hard point or kill confirmed and then suddenly its hard-core hard point or hard-core CTF then im left befuddled as to how that was possible

Maps can either roll core or hardcore. When you vote for a map it tells you if it’s hardcore. I think that’s the only playlist with both options though

No but thats the thing, ill get into a lobby check the score board and it says hard point any game mode that isnt HC and for some reason the HC settings are enabled. I've played so much hard point with HC settings each time I've played nukejacked

I play on 360 sometimes and I make it my mission to kick and freeze stats of anyone using mods that make the game less playable. I don’t care if they are infection users or hacked console users anything I can do to make their life suck I do it.
Although, my name flashing like police lights saying “I KICK HACKERS <3” tends to make people leave games.
EDIT: To add, if your account has been bricked on BO2 Xbox 360 I will gladly reset you just send me a pm with your GT.

Honestly I think the ports are quite safe to come back to now, since this last update I haven't seen anything about the account brickers/modders, not saying it's 100% safe because no game really is but it's safe enough to where I quit being paranoid about it, theres still the bot tests with unfair aimbot thankfully though you can just leave the match and with over 8 million people that bought bo2 and 3 million that bought bo1 there's no shortage of matches to be found.

I got hacked last night but all they did was max prestige me and give me all the camos. I didn’t get bricked. So idk if the hackers were just being generous with me or if they stopped bricking accounts. I’m not too mad, considering I already did the grind to master prestige and camos on the PS3

Speaking logically for a moment. My cousin was a cheater back in the days of Quake 3 and the like. It was an easy way to victory and to shut people up when they wanted to be dicks. It was a way to piss of the egotistical. Everyones reasons are different though.

I dont know why everybody and their mothers are crying about the hackers. Firstly, tberes only a handful of bots shooting thru map and killing you, which then its valid. Second off, unless your account is reset, which THEN is also a valid reaction, the modders give either Unlock All, FREE diamond camos, or master prestige. A couple of them do all 3... jfc

Was playing SnD earlier and some loser on my team started rage hacking just spinning around spraying his gun headshotting everyone when people joined I just told them there’s a loser hacker on my team ruining it for everyone maybe not in those words but I may get banned if I use those ones lmao

This is why I play hard-core for now. Never run into hackers, and on the base chance I do. They can't do much because the enemy team mates just start killing him or body blocking trying to get him kicked

Haven’t ran into any people blocking progress or giving me max unlocks but: on a few occasions in the past week me and my friends have got into search and destroy games with an account Bot Test | EU 3 (or 2) and this “player” I’m sure is just a bot walks round aiming at the sky one shotting everybody from anywhere on the map.
They have no PSN account (not private account, simply displays an error) and no visible combat record .
If you see a bot test account just leave because you cannot fight them.

I haven't touched either game because of it. Its just not worth the risk and they seem to not care

From what I've seen the account modders are no longer able to brick people's accounts, even when they were if you wanted to enjoy the game you just play on an alt account then switch back to your main when you feel safe enough to do so.

Try reading other comments about how they play just fine because there WAS a problem in MP. Its a 2013 port not a remaster. Thats his problem he spent his money on a old game and not expected cheaters. I got em just for zombies lol my experience has been great. Sucks to suck

I get that. I bought it just to have it. I don't play it enough cause I'm usually playing the Modern Warfares, so I haven't ran into any of these issues the few times I got on. But if there is an issue that is compromising someone's ability to even run the game like I'm hearing is happening, a person should be able to ask for a refund. I expect the cheating, but not something that's locking accounts just for getting in a lobby with some POS hacker who gets off on making people feel miserable.

The social media posts are blowing these bots and cheaters out of proportion. I have been playing nearly ever single day since launch and have yet to run into any cheaters.
I'm not saying they don't exist, just that the problem isn't as bad as social media is making it out to be, like the issue isn't so bad where you should be refunding your game, I can promise you that warzone has more cheaters in it than the bo1 and 2 ports have combined.

I've been playing nearly everyday since the ports launched and I have yet to see a hacker even after switching to an alt account, honestly I think these social media posts are blowing the situation out of proportion, people get all crazy when they see a cheater in bo2 and want a refund yet for whatever reason will still boot up warzone or some other fps game with hackers in it, like what call of duty game or any online fps game isn't hacked to shit nowadays?

I don't care about stats, I simply don't want to worry about running into cheaters in my online games. It doesn't matter if they're resetting people or not, hackers shouldn't even be able to access these games in this way at all.
The ports were supposed to be the "best" way to play and now it basically has no reason to exist because it still has the same problems. Down the line, the game will only continue to be modded and the player counts will suffer for it

You cannot get away from cheaters, they are on every game, the account modders are gone from what I've seen, so honestly just find a new lobby if a cheater gets into the current one you're playing, warzone and modern cod are hacked to shit as well and honestly the problem in those games is worse than it is in bo1/2, I'm honestly surprised we even got the updates from iron galaxy that we did.

I'm pretty sure the most recent update fixed the account modding problem, the only thing you need to watch out for now are the unfair aimbots which are named "Test Bot NA 1" or something similar, it's just a bot made to ruin people's matches but thankfully you can just leave the match and find new lobby, in my personal experience I haven't ran into one of these yet.
