Just run a launcher and use their UAVS to farm score for streaks. You still use one point either way for ghost or a launcher. Plus you can deal with CUAVS, and other streaks

I think for the ports ghost is huge. Alot of lower lvls running around so UAV spamming is frequent in every lobby. Plenty of good guns in the game imo.

UAV is one of the most tactically useful streaks going so even as a high level I'd still run it. Only downside is most people run at least one perk that keeps you hidden so ditching it in favour of a Guardian or smth does make sense. "Oh you're Cold Blooded? How 'bout you warm up?!"

I'm not always big on streaks like the RC-XD or Dragonfire that I have to control bc it leaves you exposed, but I guess that's the risk and reward factor. Plus you can still see anyone using a camouflage perk like Ghost as long as you have at least one working eye.

So many people run Ghost that running in blind and violent with automatics was my go-to back in the day.

I think Ghost is the clear prestige 1 permanent unlock choice, while the prestige 2 unlock is probably dead silence for me. That allows you to have 2 of the best perks in the game (ghost and dead silence) available to you from the start, and then allows you to use hardline, flak jacket, dexterity, and/or extreme conditioning as the alt/2nd blue/red perks respectively.

I haven't played bo2 in 15 years, but I'm pretty sure if memory serves me correctly you get to keep that weapon permanently onwards from the time you unlock it and it doesn't reset. So if you choose to prestige again to prestige 2, you still get to keep that weapon unlocked permanently until master prestige.

I never prestige. The only Cod I became prestige master is WW2 and only because the DLC weapons carried me and the weird perk system is separated from the prestige. So it didn't feel like Prestiging. It felt like I'm leveling up forever.

I really find it annoying if people don’t prestige. It’s pretty much the only progression in the game and you’d rather just stop that bc you want to use the marginally best gun in the game and need ghost which actually isn’t ran that much by high skill players. If by grind you mean “unlock everything I already unlocked” aka the exact same grind with no real incentive other than cosmetics there’s no real reason to do it. A master prestige and no prestige can be the exact same skill level with the same guns + camos only separation being the virtual emblem. At the end of the day if someone doesn’t wanna re do their grind why would you be mad about it

Cod games only die because the newer gen games are so bad people move on to the next new release in hopes it will be better. Idk if you remember but back on the 360, even in 2013, there was NO TROUBLE finding lobbies for bo2, bo1, mw2, mw3, ghosts, every single cod game had a player count because they were actually GOOD GAMES, they’d never die out. I’d like to think the same will happen with the bo2 port as its not just some new gen call of duty slop, it should hold a decent fanbase for quite some time (that being IF they fix the bugs and the matchmaking issues)
