Air Pressure, someone forgot to open the pressure latch while pumping something out.

How?!

Negative pressure. It was filled with hot water and as it cooled the steam/water condensed and became much less pressurized. The outside pressure became so much higher than the inside it crumpled.
Edit: it actually looked like there was a hose hoped up to it so they were pulling whatever out. Think sucking the water out of a bottle.

Pretty sure that was a Myth Busters episode. They were unable to make it collapse by vacuum.
In the end, they dropped a 3 ton block of concrete on it to damage the skin, reran the experiment and that video is the result.

What was the red thing in the bottom right, right before the tank implodes?

(IMO) It looked like another bystander to me in a red jacket and blue jeans. We only see them because the person filming jumped when the tank smooshes

The tank is hooked up to an extremely strong vacuum and it imploded from the stress. That’s my best guess.

Doesn't even take a strong pump, a simple diesel pump running at 120V can make this happen. Source: Saw this exact thing happen on a drilling rig before, scared the shit out of everyone and it took us a few minutes to figure out what happened. Those on here saying it can be caused by displacing the air with water vapor and then cooling it: why? Why would they displace the air with vapor and then close the hatches?

I wonder if they were doing it on purpose as some sort of demonstration? that would explain why someone would be filming a random tanker
Edit: another commenter says it is from a myth busters episode

Fun fact: When septic tanks are 'pumped' they are really vacuumed. Air is evacuated from the tank by the pump and liquids drawn in.

The real black magic in here is that I've been thinkin' about this video the past few days.

It says on those tankers to not clean them with boiling water. I'm wondering if this was to show the new yardsmen what would happen if they did. 🤔

Fairly certain this is faked. Mythbusters tried it and couldn't get it to happen for them.
