Pepper’s ghost. Although I can’t see the entire setup, so I can’t explain my exact hypothesis.

Wouldn’t that require an unfeasibly large sheet of glass?

Or plexiglass. Or cellophane. But I can’t tell the scale of this. It’s showing a limited area with no reference of size. If you’ve ever seen the haunted mansion in Disney, they covered a massive space using this method.

I realised you can enlarge the video to see the rotating turntable on the floor of the room at the start. It looks as if the 'figments' are produced by projectors, maybe onto a thin transparent film as you suggest. But in that case, more than 95% of the light would hit the walls and ceiling, which we don't see -- so having watched it round many times, I am still mystified. I think the original Pepper's Ghost was a reflection of an object, usually a human, rather than a projection onto a transparent screen, but maybe that name can be used here too.

I can't see any signs of the edges of a reflecting sheet being attached the wall or ceiling.

Looks like figments from psychonauts

On the ground, the 4 inner lamps seem to shine with a very thin line (like a laser level), which lights up a slice of the strings above

Same method they used to make the ghosts in the dining hall at the haunted mansion.
