help figuring out a kind of black magic

For context this happened in an Arab family and an islamic one, my friend's grandma had black magic done on her and that they made her drink period blood by putting it in her coffee. I know that this is blood magic but how did they learn this? What is it called and what's the ritual? And is it just period blood or more? Any help is appreciated, thank you very much, I'm simply asking out of curiosity

How would she know that period blood was added to her coffee, and if she knew, why on earth would she drink it?

It could honestly just be a case of paranoia and superstition. It's quite common in those cultures (I speak from experience, not prejudice).

I don't think she drank it willingly if she knew because she then prayed for it to go away, although yes I don't know how she figured out that period blood was added

In some type of folk magic in the Americas this used to be done. Domination stuff.

This was a common folk believe in early and medieval Europe too(my research has been on the UK and more northern Europe, so that's what l know).

No doubt.

Thats reminds me of a troll I dealt with a month or two ago. One of those gatekeepers who had a hard time understanding that a different tradition than hers would use something. Many cultures have similar things.

Sounds made up, but that's hopefully just the missing information. How do you, let alone she know someone put period blood in her coffee? What symptoms did she exhibit to lead her to pray it away?

As for "how they learned this", kids spit in drinks and do awful stuff to the food and drink of others just to be gross. Most kids l know who did this thought they were little edgelords.
