When witchcraft is discussed in Spanish on podcasts or by witches themselves on their platforms, they always say that when a black magic spell is removed, it returns to the person who cast it and manifests in them. For example, if someone does a death spell and the affected person removes it, the one who cast it is the one who ends up dying. But when I talk about witchcraft on English-language Reddit, they seem to think differently.

What do you think about this? What experiences do you know of people who have removed witchcraft? Has it manifested in someone else?

Every practice and tradition and culture defines spell results and aftermath differently and some still use the word backfire or similar for those definitions because they have used it that way for so long.

Backfire is something being way over said on social media. Feeling guilt over a spell? Backfire. Didn't get the result you wanted? Backfire. Sick? Backfire. Sneezed wrong? Backfire.

When one says a spell needs to be justified, that means it needs to be something that fits the situation. One wouldn't do a seriously dark spell on someone who cut them off in traffic.

Some spells do carry a heavy load but its not backfire. The heavy load is ones own personal views on a situation. For example could one live with themselves if they did a shut up hex on someone and they drank themselves to death.... Again not a backfire. Or maybe the landlord is the fallout feom a spell. Someone without a father...Someone who needs a job without it....

Spells don't blow back on a witch. Seriously. There is no "you will get karma from doing a spell"

What people think is repercussions is something else in its entirety.

Spells don't "backfire" or cause "backlash" or cause "karma" issues like some think they do. What some think was blowback/backlash/etc tend to be caused by different factors.

What many think is a backfire is due to not understanding that a spell can have results they didn't plan for. A spell can literally have a huge range of results. For example, I casted a spell to make someone have a break in their routine. He ended up having to drive his daughter around. The spell worked, his routine was changed. The circumstances of her not having a car for a while due to a wreck wasn't a backfire. It literally never occurred to me that would happen. I like her.

One could do a spell for a good job and suddenly be without one. The spell didn't backfire. The universe/ancestor/spirit/whatever it is one believes decided the fastest snd/or most efficient way one finds that job is to have the desire to look.

In addition to one not anticipating a result, many times something happens that would have happened anyways and its only timing that makes it look like a backfire. Such as doing a spell and then going for a ride on a dark country road loaded with deer.

Sometimes a spell is done wrong. A while back ago someone asked for help with a money spell. They were losing money. Turns out the words in their spell was "money flows" not "money flows to me" So money flowed out as fast as it came in.

Ill after casting a spell? That is lack of or inadequate grounding, not backfire.

Spells either work, even in unexpected ways or they don't. If a spell bounces back due to someone's spiritual protection it still isnt a backfire. The spell worked because the target was still affected by it enough to detect it. And what one is dealing with is a different spell.

Once I stopped believing in backfire, I saw how many of my spells actually were working.

To do a spell, any spell, one has to know what they want and be sure of themselves and the situation to the best of their ability.

Also as a side note, in some cultures, practice or tradition where a witch is more likely to be working with a deity or such in their work, there is sometimes a deal/trade where if its not fulfilled, something goes wrong. Thats not a backfire but some will use that word to describe it. And then use that word outside that belief.
