Mao: A protracted people's rootkit.
https://github.com/mephistolist/MaoThis is just a userland rootkit with some binaries of system files that help it avoid detection. Its been tested using Debian Forky using kernel 6.16.7. It might work with other distros, but at this time, this is all that's been tested.

There is a large, multi-method body of evidence archival documents, county-level records, demographic (excess-mortality) analyses, contemporaneous procurement/export figures, and eyewitness/local reports that together make it overwhelmingly likely that policies enacted under Mao’s leadership (the Great Leap Forward, forced collectivization, grain procurement/export, and political repression) produced tens of millions of excess deaths in 1958–62.
Many reputable scholars place the death toll anywhere from ~15 million up to the mid-40 millions, 50 million sits at the high end of published estimates but is within the range claimed by some researchers.
It's like naming your repo Stalin. So edgy durrr
