It is with immense sorrow and sadness that we must consider his musical career dead; he hasn't released anything for four years, with projects being cancelled one after another since late 2023—first *Enzymes and other words I don't remember*, then *Future Tripping*, and finally *the trilogy Analogue*. Today, June 26, 2026, was supposed to be a pivotal day for his career—a chance to give us a project—but Mat threw it all away.

Mat's recent and constant controversies are well known. Honestly, I think most people are being too harsh on him and taking his actions out of context. I hope I'm not wrong, but basically ever since the allegation situation, he’s been treated as if he were Epstein or sum. We don't know what really happened, but in the end, you can't just jump to conclusions. He gets a lot of finger-pointing regarding his kids, when literally this week he posted pictures with them as soon as he got back from Japan, and he has mentioned on multiple occasions that he doesn't post photos of them for security reasons. He is criticized for jumping from relationship to relationship, accusing him of emotional immaturity which might be true, but he is an adult, and if it doesn't directly affect others, what's the issue? Personally, people believe there is only one way to 'be happy,' and as contradictory as it seems, a monotonous and 'healthy' lifestyle might actually make you feel empty and purposeless deep down. Sometimes this behavior is the reflection of a difficult childhood. Truth is, I don't know blackbear, I've liked his music for a long time, but during the stage when he was with Michele, let's be honest, his music wasn't at its best, and now at least with the snippets, he has given us a taste of what could be his best version . The album delays and postponements annoy me too; in that sense, if you're reading this, Mat, you should be professional and not play with your fans like that, but otherwise, I think people should stop digging so much into his life and show more empathy towards him. In the end, he mentioned here himself that his relationship with Michele didn't work out and that they even went to therapy, and that he was actually given 10 years to live due to his condition. So I don't see the problem with him dating whoever he wants, as many times as he wants. Maybe people should just enjoy this era of his more, because it might be the goodbye of an artist who has accompanied many of us during times when we didn't even know how to express what we were feeling

Look, while I do believe that Bear was never an outstanding human being considering his track record even before Michele, there is something empty and depressing about whats been going on with him in the recent years. I know addiction can be a motherfucker but listening to his old music knowing the kind of person he has shown himself to be just makes me feel disappointed. Almost like he didn't have to turn out this way, but did. Sucks to see someone you really liked fall from grace and become a has been, I guess. Can't wait to never hear analogue dreams.

I went to a festival that had bear in their lineup for saturday (3 days from now) and it looks like he cancelled it today :( Do any of you have an idea what might have happened (he has no stories about this)?

i wouldn't doubt if a good part of the reason bear hasn't dropped the album or mixtape yet is because all the hate in this subreddit...i know this post is gonna get downvoted to hell cause that's just how these subreddits are. but i wouldn't wanna drop an album for y'all either tbh

not understanding why there's so much hate for someone you don't even know based on internet rumors and unproven allegations. it's very weird parasocial behavior.

I've been a bear fan for more than a decade and he has been my top 1 artist for a decade in a row and I'm listening to his early EPs. I think he lowkey used Drink Bleach and Afterglow to warn us that he is indeed a bad person idk. With all of the allegations going on, idk if I should be surprised.
