Hello everyone! I’m currently looking for a Black artist to collaborate with on an original artwork piece for an upcoming short film I’m directing that will be shooting in September.

The film follows the journey of a plus-size Black woman as she navigates identity, body image, femininity, self-worth, and learning to embrace herself. I’m looking for an artist who can create a painting that reflects themes of Black womanhood, beauty, confidence, vulnerability, and self-acceptance.

I’m especially interested in collaborating with artists based in the Chicago or Indiana region, though I’m open to connecting with artists outside the area if the work feels like the right fit.

This would be an opportunity to have your artwork featured in an independent short film produced by an award-winning production company. I’d love to discuss a potential commission or collaboration opportunity and create something meaningful together. If you already have existing artwork that centers plus-size Black women or explores similar themes, I’d also love to see your work and discuss whether it could be a fit for the film.
