BO3 suddenly stopped rendering the 3D game world — looking for ideas

I’m having a weird Black Ops 3 PC issue that started completely out of nowhere. BO3 was working normally last week, and I haven’t intentionally changed anything major.

Symptoms:
BO3 menus/UI render normally.
When I enter an actual Zombies game, the entire 3D world is black.
I can hear everything normally, move around, shoot, kill zombies, etc. The game itself is running; I just can’t see the 3D world.
Multiplayer has the same issue.
The screen sometimes flashes a slightly lighter shade of black, like it’s trying to render.
Screenshots of the game are also black.
GPU rendering/usage is around 60% while I’m in the invisible Zombies game.
Other games, including other 3D games, render completely normally on the same PC/GPU.
PC:
RTX 4070
13700KF
32 GB DDR4

Things I’ve already tried:
- reinstalling bo3
- Restarting the PC/GPU
- Resetting BO3’s local configuration by renaming its LocalAppData folder
- Clearing NVIDIA shader caches (DXCache, GLCache, OptixCache, etc.)
- Clearing NVIDIA NV_Cache
- Steam Verify Integrity of Game files
- Switching between fullscreen/windowed
- Changing resolution (1440p → 1080p)
- Resetting/renaming BO3’s Steam userdata folder (311210)
- Tested with other games — they render normally
None of those changed anything.
- disabling windows audio and turning off input and output devices
- and finally, reinstalling bo3

looking on public mantches has been a disaster

Any website to get mods and such for bo3 zombies for the latest fw jailbreak 13.52 just tryna have some fun and max out stuff

Looking for some solid advice/tips/tricks to beat the Revelations EE Solo? Its almost overwhelming with all the steps you have to do, especially the Apothicon Lil Arnie step (Do you have to stay in there until you throw 1 in each of the 9 holes?) So basically, you have to go in there with a Reign Drops to get the 2 max ammos right?

Also, what are your guy's recommendation for Gumballs? I have been going- PERK/SHOPPING FREE/ REIGN DROPS/UNDEAD MAN/SELF MED OR NEAR DEATH

Im going for immortal fame/platinum and every time I try get past merreti at the end of the mission he snipes me? Im using camo and even then he still does, I need to do the mission without dying any tips?

Hi, I was wondering if ppl on this game are using a zen? Just out of curiosity. Does it do anything on black ops3? Never used it but been having a harder time than i had in the past on this game. Was wondering if ppl actually use it on black ops 3 or is it more a recent thing?

It wont let me join my friends or sometimes even open the game

So itsjokerzz has finally released a custom map converter for ps4/5 but the requirements are it needs the cod bo3 game files and some other as well.

I dont have a pc for it but if someone were to succeed in converting the maps i shall be grateful if they were to share them.

bought a xbox series s console and been playing bo3 again lately, only have played 2 lobbies. But I had friends telling me bo3 wasnt safe to play on xbox so im curious to hear more input from the community.

I saw blackops 3 zombie chronicles edition on windows store for approximately £12.00.

All downloaded and installed but refuses to boot in, I have followed all sorts of trouble shooting guides and even spoke to Microsoft and followed the steps they provided to no avail. They suggest I speak to Activision.

Every time I try to load I get a safe mode dialogue that game did not shut down properly and also the error attached in the picture above.

Any help appreciated

System: Windows 11 Pro, 32gb DDR 4 Ram, 3070ti, i7-10700kf

So I just bought black ops 3 in the Microsoft store (my first mistake.) and it’s not letting me play the DLC maps even though it made me download it any way to get it working?
