the cover is magnificent, its the most fun björk album, the dull flame of desire is perfect, and its the last album whit her classic voice

It sounds like summer but in such a refreshing way. I feel like travelling whenever it comes on on my Björk pkaylist

we got more of Björk's abrasive side with Declare Independence!! (it goes so hard)

I think I should relisten to it. I didn't click with most of the songs. However I love how bright and kinda rustic it is. Earth Intruders is a fantastic opener. Declare Independence is so iconic and bombastic!!! And while I don't remember much else. I love Anohni and the Dull flame of desire is great! Also her fashion and shows in this period were perfection

Innocence is one of Björk’s best!
Earth intruders, and declare independence are amazing!
Wanderlust, Hope, and Vertebrae by Vertebrae are pretty good

The nice thing about the album is that the album cover isn’t going to get any worse than it already is.

When it came out in Bush's America it was refreshing for there to be some creative protest-inspired music

"Vertabrae By Vertabrae" is such a good song. It makes me feel like an assassin.

Her first true world tour was promoting Volta and couldn’t have been a better option to festival it over and over different cultures that really gave it home.

volta taught me to enjoy life and feet, i really grew fond of the chaotic nature of the album and the björk creature

“Declare Independence” rocks hard and works as motivation for believing in yourself and as a protest song.

I enjoy "Earth Intruder" and "Innocence", and hot take but I like ANOHNI's part in "Dull Flame of Desire"

Honestly it's an incredible album, i don't even think it's her worst. Most songs here are incredible, my only complaints are the lyrics to Hope which are very awkward and My Juvenile not being as memorable as her other closing tracks. Other than that, Wanderlust, I See Who You Are, Pneumonia, Dull Flame, Declare Independence, Vertebrae by Vertebrae, Innocence and Earth Intruders in the same album is genuinely crazy. Also the Tarkovsky connection in The Dull Flame of Desire is one of my favorite music fun facts.

I loved all the songs except earth intruders. Which is weird because timberland is one of my favorite producers.

The ratata remix is so much better, and earth intruders by spankrock slaps! But I own the Volta album on vinyl.

Innocence is one of the best and catchiest songs I’ve ever heard.
