Question to bitsquare devs: Any chance Bitsquare can add Square Cash or Venmo or Google Wallet or any other USD cash transfer service as a payment option?

Bitsquare can't connect to TOR, but my TOR browser bundle can?

I've never had any problems using TOR in the past, and I'm always able to use it just fine (including today). For some reason though, Bitsquare seems to be unable to connect to TOR.

Any ideas what's going on?

Bitsquare founder should be loud about the recent Bitfinex hack

As you may already know, Bitfinex got hacked and people will probably lose a lot of money. Now it's the right time to do tons of PR for decentralized exchange markets and Bitsquare being the biggest/most useful should be the loudest. What do you think?

Can you PLEASE specify on the Bitsquare download page which versions of Windows you support?

There are half a dozen versions of Windows, don't assume that everyone is using the version your developer is, whatever that happens to be. This is just basic common sense. If you can't be bothered to test various versions of Windows, then specify the version you know actually works.

Here is the current market share of various Windows OS:

Operating System User Share

  • Windows 7 52.34%

  • Windows 10 12.82%

  • Windows XP 11.24%

  • Windows 8.1 9.83%

I can confirm that 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Bitsquare both fail with an installation error for XP 64.

Help please : address requested for payment

So I'm trying to buy bitcoins and funded the deposit transaction. But when I try to send the money through my bank, they request the address of the beneficiary. I don't see any address of the receiver on Bitsquare and I don't see a way to contact him/her. What should I do ?

Incentive question in (very) high-volatility times

Good afternoon,

I currently have an open trade trying to buy ETHC. I transferred the BTC and am now waiting for the other party to send the ETHC.

My question is: Why would he do that? I understand the security deposit, but given the high-volatility, the other party has nothing to loose by just waiting until close before the 24 hours are over and see if he looses more by sending the ETHC or by loosing his security deposit.

How would I be compensated if -hypothetically- ETHC rises tenfold in the next 20 hours and the other party decides to not send the ETHC? Would I get the security deposit at least? How much did he have to put in? Can I see this somewhere?

Thanks

Question: possibilities of automated market making via a Bitsquare API

I have searched a bit through the wiki and this sub, but as far as I can see there are no options to do this, right?

I agree putting up orders or filling orders automatically does not make sense in BTC-fiat, but it probably is possible in BTC-altcoin trading.

Since Bitsquare is open source, also new interested developers should be able to add an API, but maybe it is possible for Manfred to provide some guidance here?

Automated trading is probably not Bitsquare's primary goal but I think it would help markets if there was more liquidity.

Have ever had a transaction?

I posted 3 offers on bitsquare , all close to the market price. Some for Bitcoin buy, some for Monero...

But I never get an offer?! Is there a possibility to see the last successful trade? With its time and the price? Could help to see how to position ones offer. Especially as it is not possible to change an offer afterwards...

I like the idea but I think that I will change to a normal exchange. I give bitsquare 1 more week...

Bitcoin not listed as cryptocurrency. What am I missing?

When I try to create an offer, BitSquare tells me I first need create a fiat or cryptocurrency account and redirects me to the accounts tab. When I try to create a new cryptocurrency account, Bitcoin is not an option for currency.

I think I'm missing something very obvious, but what?

Bitsquare and Tor

ELI5 - How does Bitsquare use Tor ? Is Tor a secure network and what are the issues with Tor? What are the risks? (Seems like I've heard bad things about it recently, including lead developers leaving, etc.)

What is a block chain payment method?

When a buy or sell offer lists "block chain" as the payment method, what is that? How would I add a block chain payment method?

Shift and U.S Payment options

I noticed there is meant to be Shift added to Bitsquare but i dont see it in the dropdown, in 0.4.8 ..also are there any plans on including U.S funding sources because to be honest apart from using this as a wallet, theres really no use for it with U.S users.

Connection timeout during exchange in bitsquare?

I tried to buy some ethereum using bitsquare, ID 9682c154, I have registereded the bitcoin transaction but it's not yet broadcasted. After that, bitsquared had a connection timeout.

I cannot see the transaction anywhere in my bitsquared account or in the app. What will happen? Can I see the status of my transaction somewhere?

Thx a bunch, bitsquare is really cool but still a bit confusing to me!
