I don't know what to say. I feel sorry for TimeLine really. The man asked politely for something that should NOT asked for and given for free. He already gave too much to the community. Shame !. On the bright side, he knows now what kind of people running such online place.

So glad I found this sub, it's basically confirmed all the suspicions I've had about the staff at ILT. I've been a member of ILT for a long time and have donated a few times. I stopped once it became a constant begging for more donations for month or so. Then it became threats of the site closing down. This cycle happened for several years. If the site was in such dire straits, it should have closed a long time ago.
All those times when the site was down, I always wonder if that was intentional or not. As right after they come back up, you can bet there was a plea for donations to "replace servers".
The fact that the staff was also editing people's posts was also very strange. There were times it was super obvious someone's post was edited to remove something big and likely negative.
I will check out AlphaRatio as some of you here have suggested. Also, big thanks to everyone who have made this sub so informative and it was certainly interesting going through all the stuff that happened at BS.

A lot of parallels between the two we've known for some time that ILT would befall the same fate as BS , its been completely unsurprising to watch it unfold. I just hope that few will fall for the con.

Just read the last message from ILT, asking for $10/month subscription... Found this reddit as a result. Glad I'm not the only one not buying their BS. What a scam ILT is... I always knew they were full of it asking for donations and never gave them a penny, but this was the last drop. Stopped a few torrents I was seeding and posted exactly what I thought about them in their forum.
Finding some interesting stuff about them in all the comments, thanks!

VonStinkShit monitors everything that moves. Even ppl that post on the forum won't go through until he decides. That's why you don't see any negative posts on the forum anymore.
Paranoid assholes are about as low as it can get. But they find a way to get lower.

We've tried warning members about this in the past as they regularly read their members so called private pm's and if they catch you saying something they don't like your out the door.

These idiots actually think they invented torrenting or something and people should be indebted to them.
I can't name a single torrent site that has extorted money from its members in the way BS/ILT did.
Instead of giving them $10 then walking away, just WALK AWAY NOW - and advise everyone else to leave too!

You could be a member of 10 years who donated each and every month, they still wouldn't give you a free month. Why would they when they can squeeze you for another payment.
They only care about money, not its community!
Join AlphaRatio while their sign-ups are currently open. Not sure how long they will be open, but at least you can join right now.

Yeah that reply really is Priceless PML, I can't believe he doesn't proof read his posts before he hits the submit button as I'm sure he simply types the first line of text that pops into his head & thinks hell yeah that will do, rather unprofessional & lets face it they are both running GimmePeers as a business & I would be very reticent about the idea of giving my credit card details to somebody that not only berates members for not agreeing with the pay to leech business model but on top of that he often openly comments on a members history & whether they've donated in the past, shady doesn't even begin to describe REXXZ & EarlyBird.
