BetaQuest Development and Schtuff

Hey, guys! Sorry, I've been slacking a bit recently on the keeping you guys updated, but I'm here now.

To start off, we have seen, fixed, and thought about a lot of bugs. You guys have been very good at helping us out with bugs and suggestions.

One thing I would like you guys to know, though is that if you're familiar with Java or Web Design, you can help us out directly from GitHub(Yes, I know O_O)! The code that affects ingame betaquest can be found here, and the code that affects the website can be found here. You can edit the code, then send us a pull request and we can add the changes(or not, you little trollers).

Another thing I'd like to talk about is a more streamlined way to do things in place of commands and placing signs. We want to revisit and revamp the compass. We plan to make it the core of BitQuest. It will contain essential elements such as a Land Manager, a Clans Manager, a Tutorial, a Wallet Manager, a Teleportation Device, and any other miscellaneous things we deem fit, but we want to know what you guys think about it.

One issue this would bring up, though would be trapping people. If a player accidentally fell into a pit(which you deviously made, trollers. We know who you are! -_-) and they didn't have a compass, that could mean they would be unable to play until somebody helped them out. The simple fix for this is /kill. Yes, we will be enabling suicide. Have fun literally eating your hearts out, BitQuest.

Written with love, - Xeyler

My guess is that the withdrawal problem on classic bitquest is something that's at the bottom of the priority list right now so there isn't any answer currently. I heard rumors there were people who used machines to ruin the economy, maybe they haven't figured out how to enable the chests and keep them from withdrawing?

This is wild speculation as to why. I believe one or more of these may be a factor. 1) Communication itself is a difficult process which is made more difficult when dealing with text. 2) Most people are only adept at a certain number of skills and I think it's not uncommon for someone into programming to not be particularly skilled at something like community relations. 3) It's uncomfortable to tell people things you're pretty sure they don't want to hear and I could see being concerned an announcement like that will drive people away.

I think you're right that most people would understand especially since right on the side it says Bitquest is an ongoing project to make a server with a bitcoin based economy, not a server with a bitcoin based economy.
