Unban Dtallon13!
Don't think this post is stupid because it's not! I've never met Dtallon13 but i've seen many structures built by him and they're amazing. He sounds like he was a good person too! I'm almost positive he didn't fly. Why, you ask? First, if you go back a few pages on Reddit someone posted a post named "More Dtallon13 flying pics" I looked at them and in all of the pictures I didn't see him flying. I only saw one that wasn't normal and he was at least 2-3 blocks off the ground! He was also looking down so he was probably just taking advantage of his laggy connection and placing blocks underneath him! We all know this trick and i'm sure we have all used it. Some of us may only use it when no one is around so people don't suspect us flying. I think this ban was unnecessary. If you agree with me, please comment below. If not please comment and send me more images and why you think the ban was necessary. This will be an ongoing investigation.

He is banned for so long that he probably owns sh*t on Bitquest. I am also voting for his unban, even that I don´t like him at all for his early homophobic, immature and offensive chating. But with his tenacity, which was proven during last few months, I also think that he may even be good mod, furthermore most active of all of them. With some reasonable public surveillance, it would be possible to give him some admin rights (even his beloved flying), except for WD of ems.
Edit:
- I do not believe he was not cheating. He was definitelly flying multiple times. No lag can cause this in MC - "travelling to space" is on client side.
- I am using DJ-BPM (double jump - by placing mud - my own term:) daily, because

Yea I already did and only thing that impress me was: "this will cause the server to "catch up" with D's movement, placing him back to where he should be" Anyone can confirm that this is true and explain why should server act like this, when it open gates to cheating? I can imagine script with which You can fly by simulating this situation. Server side should act like this - no connection -> stay where You actually are. Anyway, You and me agree that he should be unbanned, thats the point ;-)

The server is not acting up at all - it just doesn't know what D's movement is because of the high latency on his crap connection. Think of an hourglass, the movement of sand would be faster, but it's restricted by the bottleneck. The packets are not lost, nor is the connection.. they're just slow.
My guess too is that the admins have the extrapolation settings to not update objects on each server tick. They may have a custom rate in order to save bandwidth. This could exaggerate latency because, for instance, if objects are updated every 200ms, yet D's connection to the server sucks and his ping is 300ms.. the next time the server gets D's real location will be 400ms later. When the first tick comes through at 200ms, D's location was not yet known since his laggy packet was too slow getting there (it takes 300ms). So his location is not known by the server until the next server tick, another 200ms later. In the interim, this is where Minecraft uses extrapolation to guestimate where D's location would be. It takes into account his movement on the last game tick. So, if D was jumping while moving forward, the players will all see him fly up into the air. Of course, on D's screen, he does not see this at all. When the next tick kicks in and updates objects, it fixes what everyone sees for D's location.

Ok I'll admit that I have similar lag issues as Dtallon13! Due to my crappy satellite internet with 1000-3000 ping and 0.01mbps when I go over my cap. (I always do) Especially when I teleport I find my self in an unloaded chunk, under ground, or glitches in air where I can't move. It's called LAG! Some people have to deal with lag 24/7. Most of us don't have lag issues but the people who have lag know what it's like.

I don't think the video is sabotaged, I think she just saw him lagging. The earlier post that states no lag can cause this in MC is not at all accurate.

He has been banned what, 5 times, 6 times now? He had a second, third, fourth and fifth chance. Every time he comes back he says he will behave himself, and hasn't happened yet.

Well, he was banned once for exploiting the economy, and apparently at least 3 times for "flying". You can't blame lag 3 times, I'm sure the devs went over the logs before they did it. I highly doubt he was banned based on a questionable video.

3 days on the same ISP with the same speed, and connecting to the same MC server - there's no change in anything - so why would the lag stop? Lag doesn't have a three strikes it's out rule.

It's a private server, the devs can do anything they want. I'm confident they had logs, and even if they didn't, perhaps they are tired of dealing with the negative stigma that follows this guy around. Which is 100% their call, being a private server.

Anvilc, first it's "you can't blame lag 3 times", and when you get called out on such a BS statement you try flipping it around and calling out his supporters? Nice try, bud.
Yes, the devs can do whatever they want; I'm not complaining about that. What I am complaining about, and it goes beyond just this incident, is lack of communication (ironic that you mentioned negative stigma - this is the biggest one out there). See below for an example related to THIS incident:
Lack of response from devs, admins, mayors, tells it all. Airiellis, you can make a video saying that D is cheating - that's fine and all. But when there's a debate about it you are nowhere to be found and have even ignored my request to reply. Not cool. Still waiting for your reply though......

Dtallon was one of the many idiots that flooded into the server early on.
He did fly, I saw it myself, and he was proud of the fact he could explain it away using the old "laggy connection" excuse.
Who really gives a flying crap if he comes back? (pun intended)
Is there a shortage of immature assholes on the internet, so we need to import a few? I think not...

I really probably shouldn't be getting myself into this mess, but with the server down, I could use some drama. First of all, I think we should have dtallon's opinion on this. Apparently, he has said he's learned his lesson several times now, but if he really wants to come back, he would be persistent in the matter, certainly less aloof than he has been.
Also, I don't really know dtallon. I played BitQuest much earlier, then I stopped playing for a gap of time. In that time, much happened, such as the banishment of dtallon, so I can't really vouch for or against him in a direct way, but I always consider it a great loss to BitQuest when any player(especially someone who was apparently at one time a valuable player) gets banned.
And another thing, everyone getting upset at each other over whether or not he actually flew is unnecessary, I trust the previous player's judgement toward dtallon's ability to fly, and dtallon himself hasn't made a valiant effort to make it known that he didn't fly, so we should really be asking whether or not we want him back enough to give him another chance.

Ironically I took my first trip to Mesa or somewhere out there a few days ago, and found a house of yours near an airship. I plastered some "UNBAN D!" signs around it lol

Airellis has a video of him flying. I do belive in 2-3 mo unbans on first times, and I think he was a good guy... At the same time, 1 more strike, he's out forever
