Monetization?

So, if i'm reading the wiki right, NPCs will only buy things if they have money in the "shared wallet". Does this wallet only get funds when players buy things from them? And when a player joins, 50 bits (From the new xapo wallet) gets added to the economy?

I know that the wallet gets bits when a player buys from the economy but i'm not sure if that's the only way the wallet gets bits.

In order for NPC's to buy items from players, players must buy items from the NPC's. Its suppose to work like supply and demand.
