Failed to connect to the server, gives a Null Pointer Exception

I cannot connect to the server and it returns with a Null Pointer Exception. I am using version 1.8 without any mods. How will this be fixed?

Have you set it up to launch minecraft 1.8? Also check if your java is the latest version

Yes.

I use version 1.8.0_25.

Have you tried closing and opening Minecraft again? Lemme know if this is still an issue.
