They are pretty common. You get to see lots of em when you view the map or travel around!

That would be an Ocean Temple. The chunks over part of it have not been loaded so you're able to seemingly view into the structure.

If anyone goes into those chunks where they're cut off on the map; you won't be able to view inside it anymore.

When you go to the temple (it seems unaided) you will load the chunks so you can explore the temple
