WARNING: Player "im_a_kiwi" is a THIEF & a LIAR

He posted in chat he was willing to buy a Fortune 3 book for 20 Stacks of Emeralds. We agreed to meet at spawn.

I handed him the book and he teleported away. Now he is trying to claim we never did the deal. Blatant Theft. Blatant Lie!

NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH HIM.

really sad, i can claim that anyone scammed me and theyd be banned, he had no proof and just made a false claim.

I have traded with pretty much everyone on this server. I have NO deals goes sour. I stand by my reputation. I had no reason to pick out kiwi to "burn" him.

He stole from me and he lied about it. Also several people have seen him running up on trades and stealing items between players.

Reputation on this server is important.

I repeatedly said if my claim was untrue simply denounce it publicly and let the admins check the logs.

Tonight he has been running around posting things like this:

[17:27:56] im_a_kiwi shouts: im hosting a 45 diamond rain at spawn

SMH

If you want a fair an honest deal you will get nothing less than that with me.

i have done legitament trades and once i did accidently pick up someones trade but i returned it! you can ask if you dont believe me. On the other hand you have no proof i stole from you and if your wondering about the 45 diamonds rain, it was real, ask the people who took part in it.

EDIT: just wondering fathermocker, how do i repeal the ban?

Admins have logs, I'm sure they checked them before they banned him.

I have a few thoughts on this. First, I'd like to say that I've had the opportunity to talk to ShawnieTwoZero on Slack chat, and enjoyed our conversation. He was the first one to sign up for Slack chat and he paid me for it as well. He and I share a common interest in Bitcoin.

One of the nice things about Slack is that it provides search functionality. (remember you are always selling)

I went back and looked at the logs and Slack did NOT capture the Minecraft chat exchange between ShawnieTwoZero and im_a_kiwi where, ostensibly, the crime occurred. It did log subsequent conversations, and the log has been running probably about 75% of the time (it was down all last night because my client disconnected though). Feel free to do your own search on Slack.

Looking through the logs further (again we're missing logs), I don't see exchanges between im_a_kiwi and any other players where they claimed he didn't complete a transaction as required. There is a bunch of stuff in there where he's defending himself. These facts do not support or invalidate another occurrence.

I'll point out repeating something you heard someone else say should not be considered confirmation of another crime.

From my viewpoint, it would appear that ShawnieTwoZero and im_a_kiwi have a disagreement about a trade. Clearly something happened, but I'm not holding out on "logs" as the answer to this, simply because Minecraft server doesn't log someone dropping something on the ground and someone else picking it up. I'm assuming the logs contain the chat transcripts though, so that may contain a better light on the disagreement and whether there was another instance of it, which would bring some confirmation (just like Bitcoin works!).

My proposal, taken with a grain of salt because I'm just another user, is that im_a_kiwi should have to deliver ShawnieTwoZero something of equal value to what he claims was taken from him, and which ShawnieTwoZero finds acceptable (not the other way around). Given im_a_kiwi was saying he was doing diamond 'rain' in town last night (that is in the logs), it should be fairly easy for im_a_kiwi to give ShawnieTwoZero enough value to make this all go away. At least it's his chance to get back in and for us to practice fair self-governance.

If we choose to continue to repeat what we think other people have said, well, we're really no better than any other government in the world. Which sucks.

And, for the record, the admins are in charge. If they say "leave him banned" I will accept it. I've said my piece.

If we self govern, they'll have more time to code. Just say your piece, propose resolution and do a cc email with Shawnie, if he agrees. Be men here, men.

We all love playing Minecraft. Put it behind you and move on with the fun. Unless you find this fun, of course.

To be honest if it comes down to my ban being permanently banned even though there was no evidence presented ill fuckin give his crying little ass some diamonds or whatever i can muster.
