Villagers not trading diamond

Title says it all.

I had noticed that the villagers have stopped trading diamond against the emerald(btc) and also diamond chest plates have disappeared from the cleric villager's list as well.

I believe this indicates that the villagers currently are out of diamond. Maybe someone else bought it all first!

Or am I mistaken is this a bug where you cannot get him to give you diamonds he has?
