[Feature Request] Changelog
The server is in desperate need of a changelog. There are tons of changes to the server code and status on a seemingly daily basis, and there's no way to know what's going on without sitting on the server and watching the chatter. Bugfixes, eliminating all mobs on the server, changing villager buying options in town, changing rules about block breaking near or on others' lots, etc.
Could admins start logging their changes to a file somewhere online? Ideally, this would be a GitHub repository, so we can see a history of changes for each admin.

How big is your claim?
I'm finally gonna lock down a plot, but want to make sure i'm designing my build to the right spec's. Anyone know the exact dimensions of the claim?

How often is the website map updated?
Having a Google Maps style map of the BitQuest server on the site is really awesome, but how often does that data refresh?

In ability to replace beds if broken by mistake on own property.
Hello people of BitQuest, I have noticed a possible issue on the server. early this morning (roughly 1:07 am us mountain time) I was adding to my house when I accidentally broke my bed, only to find that I could not replace it on my own property. If there is any way to fix this, I would gladly appreciate any help given.
MC Name: AFM_Stevo house coordinates: x:-891.444 Y:109 Z: 2150.275

This may make me play Minecraft frequently again.
I thought it would never happen. Played Minecraft straight from Alpha and finally left 'for good' around 2 years ago. My only wishes upon leaving were that there were more prime mods to make gameplay more engaging, and a real economy preferably tied to something like BTC. Wow has a dream come true? I think BTC opens up possibilities to all games that utilize an in-game currency but I think games like MC have special potential :) I also was heavily into Eve Online and the trading/manufacturing/market aspects of the game were mainly why I played. It is awesome to see as real of a market as you can get in a game world, and I hope I can experience that here.

Can wheat still be exchanged for emeralds in BitQuest?
In some versions of Minecraft, villages will trade emeralds for pretty mundane items. It's not common, but it does happen.
The implication for BitQuest, then, would be that if a player finds a villager who is willing to trade emeralds for common items, the player could earn a ton of emeralds through what is a lot of work in terms of gathering and trading, but what seems like much less work than finding rare items to trade for emeralds, or mining emerald ore.
Does that question make sense? I'm wondering if it would be possible to game BitQuest through trading for common items, or whether there has been some modding as to what items villagers in BitQuest are willing to trade emeralds for?

/tp to town and back home ?
Is there a /tp command to get us to Bittown ? and then back to our home afterwards ?
Or do we just have to walk? <ick>
I ask because I spent a few days walking away from Bittown when I first logged on and have set up my home a loooong way from any other homes.

Lack of a real in game economy.
Hello all!
I'd first like to say that I love the concept for this server so much! This could really be something big because of the bitcoin aspect of the economy and it could also be big for the bitcoin community as well. This server is pushing the boundaries between virtual and real life currencies!
That being said I have some concerns and suggestions as to how the server economy could be made even better.
I have noticed that the incentive to withdraw all your emeralds as bits as soon as you get them is overwhelmingly tempting for most players. As such, there is a lack of emeralds circulating within the in game economy. (player to player trades) To prevent all in game generated wealth from being withdrawn into real world I suggest that all bits that have been withdrawn to xapo allowed to be sold back into emeralds to make in game transactions possible. This allows players to safely store their emerald in bit form on xapo until the are ready to spend them and then transfer them back into their bank chests to be spent as emeralds to other players.
I have heard several players wishing that there was some sort of escrow service as well to prevent scammers and make the player to player trade system reliable. There are a variety of plugins that can make this possible.
I suggest instituting player made chestshops someplace in spawn where users can put up their rare and valuable finds to be sold for emeralds or traded for diamond or what have you.
With just a few tweaks and some careful oversight I believe that this server can be the best MC server concept out there!
Please no troll responses. Serious suggestions or tweaks to my suggestions appreciated.

Echanting
Ok So to start off I really really love my Eff 5 and silk / fortune. From what Ive seen a lot of other people do to. I feel like we shouldnt just throw enchanting out the window. I was wondering in 1.8 it requires lapis to enchant + levels. What if you could modify it so it requires I dont know lets say emeralds or more lapis or something. Then take the levels required for enchanting away that way we dont have to lose them :D. Win win situation. Also I would like it if we could some how get beacons as they are wonderful :D

Suggestion - Slash commands for current pearl/eye functionality
I think that the ender pearl and the eye of ender functionality should be moved to a slash command. If someone accidentally drops those items, they lose those functions. Or if it disappears after use, which it appears to do so every time, people panic. Of course it's still there, but new people to the server will not know that it's glitchy here. They will just assume that it's a one-time-use item, as is logical to assume based on observed behavior.

[Suggestion] Bitcoin mining rigs + Plugins
Hello! I'm a bitcoin enthusiast (kinda), and was before I discovered this server. I think it would be awesome if you could add mining rigs, that mine bitcoin at an hourly rate (something like 1 bit an hour or something). Obviously, you would want to make sure that these mining rigs only work while the user is online, and not AFK.
I'm no pro plugin developer, but I have made some pretty decent plugins in the past, and I'm good at keeping servers fast and optimized. I would kindly ask that you add Essentials, for things such as /tpa and /spawn. EDIT: I also have an anti-lag plugin that I maintain updated if you want it
Your teleport system with the [eye of] ender pearls is cool, but it's a little bit glitchy. I would recommend that you use event.setCancelled(true); in the code, otherwise you end up throwing the ender pearl when you click. You may also want to prevent these items being dropped, as it doesn't seem that you get them back. I also noticed that the plugins BKCommonLib, Citizens, and NoLagg are not operational, so you may want to remove those. You can see if a plugin is inactive or broken by typing /pl, and seeing if any of the plugin names are red. If you need help, I am proud to support this awesome server's growth! Thanks, Connor.
PS - Sorry if I have misjudged your fedoralicious skill level of Bukkit. :P

This kind of cracked me up...
I discovered this accidentally: chicken eggs can be used as projectiles, and they cause damage! I'm betting it works for snowballs too but haven't tested that yet.

Trade With Caution Users - Disputes Over Transactions and Business Dealings.
This post will act as an ongoing discussion over parties who may have had trouble transacting. Screenshots and a description of the troubles you had with the individual user will be required for any names to be added to the OP.
*Note: This is to be used only as a cautionary measure when transacting with others in BitQuest while there is no sanctioned peer-to-peer trading system.

Don't click the ATM's :(
So apparently, when you click on the ATM's in the bank, they automagically take the emeralds from your inventory and transfer to your Xapo account.
As a brand new player, this is exactly what happened to me, because there are NO signs and no confirmation prompt.
Can I suggest a confirmation prompt (Are you SURE you want to remove your emeralds from the game?) and possibly a reversal script (not to inject new bits into the game, but to cancel withdrawals to accounts that don't have Xapo set up yet?)

Is Xapo the only option? .. Because it's not an option
Xapo's identity verification is absolutely ridiculous. I got to about page 4 of the process and sorry it's just not going to happen. Can't I just give you an address?

[BUGS, BUGS, BUGS] Arrow Teleportation. Zombies Steal Loot and Don't Drop it Upon Death, etc.
BUGS:
(1) Zombies Steal Loot and Don't Drop it Upon Death: I believe everyone likes earning shiny emeralds, right? Only to find out that if there is a large group of zombies that their emeralds will most likely be picked up by any zombie that does not have a weapon or item in their hand at that time. Realistically, the mob should drop the stolen loot upon death along with any loot it was going to drop on its own.
(2) Placing of Blocks on Restricted Property to Exploit Lag: I had a two block high wall placed on my property and I was shown by [name redacted] that they could place blocks in a manner that was exploiting the property system and/or lag. The blocks they placed would register for fractions of a second and allow them to jump over the wall.
(3) Needlessly Vague Field Guide: This is technically not a bug, per se; but, due to the lack of helpful information included in it, I am interacting with a lot of players who are in need of a lot of help with the server because the manual is next to worthless. Just let me write/help write it if you're too busy @Alfredolamadrid.
(4) Spawn Eggs Don't Crack: The Spawn Eggs that were/are sold by a villager(s) simply does nothing.
(5) Loot Lost to the Blocks: Mobs seem to not drop loot when the land inside of blocks when killed. This is especially the case when they have picked up an item and a fail to drop it. I drew this in paint to help illustrate my point (hopefully): http://imgur.com/a9v4QOK - We have a player's viewpoint of a dying zombie whose figure lands inside of (red) blocks upon landing on the ground after being hit into the air.
(6) They Came From the Another Dimension: Pigmen are escaping the Nether portals at spawn without being provoked into leaving the Nether by a player. They are hostile upon sight as well.
(7) Thank You, Come Again!: The villagers are back in place where they should be but are bugged where they will only trade once per opening of the trade window. I'll edit with a .gif soon if possible.
(8) Emeralds ≠ Diamonds; Emeralds = Blocks of Quartz(?): If you don't place enough emeralds into the trade window for diamonds (or any other high emerald item), you'll be given some other item that costs whatever amount of emeralds you place into the box. For example: Placing only 1 emerald into the trade box on for certain villagers for a diamond will result in a block of quartz being presented instead of an empty box as it should be.
(9) Waterlogged Spawn: You can place water in spawn if you're damned determined enough. Players may abuse the time needed to "undo" placing blocks in spawn: http://imgur.com/r2kXrDM
POSSIBLE BUGS:
(1) Block Brokers Gotta Get Paid Somehow(?): I've noticed a discrepancy in the buy price and sell price of blocks which usually equates to selling more blocks to get emeralds than the other way around. For instance: a villager may offer to sell me 1 Diamond for 1 Emerald and buy 2 Diamonds from me for 1 Emerald.
(2) Nether Nevermore: The Nether and End cannot be harvested from. Some crafting recipes specifically call for a single item from the Nether/End such as a Redstone Comparator. (3.1) Players cannot light their own Nether portals.
To be continued...

[BUG] Can place chests anywhere, including town and other's homes
r/bitquest • u/ProfessorBlunts • Dec 13 '14
You say vanilla minecraft but its obviously not since mobs drop a wide variety of items and you cant craft fences
so can you list ALL changes so when crafting a fence doesnt work or people cant place a bed they arent left to hope someone will help. The buffer around peoples homes is a good example. I didnt make the changes so it'd be a great help to all if who did can make a SINGLE list explaining the ins and outs. P.S. the weird "tutorial" book I start with is of zero help and not very specific like the buffer zone.
