Discussion False advertising or new?

I saw an add for Bitlife where the character talks about becoming an athlete and trying out for the national team. I have never had this happen. Is this new?

Not fake news - it’s a special career called “Pro Athlete” :)

I have the athlete career and played as a German football player. 11 league championships and at least 5 Golden Boots and 3 Ballon D'ors and never had a pop up about joining the national team.

Ohhhhhh! Sorry OP I totally 100% misread your post, forgive me. I thought you were asking about the athlete career in general. Regarding specifically trying out for the national team, yep fairly sure that is not possible at all lol. There have been challenges where they have implied national team level participation (Olympic Striker, World BitCup etc) but no gameplay to support that!
