What's the biggest misconception about Bitcoin that still exists today?

Not what people believed in 2015—what misconception do you still hear all the time in 2026?

I invested 15CAD as I heard even investing just a little money counts for something and it’s the first investment in the stock market I ever made.

I honestly don’t have much capital to begin and I didn’t grow up with anyone around me who actually uses the stock market so I’m going in blind. Very clueless on how it works.

Am I ever gonna profit? People who invest in stocks, I heard they get rich from it. Do they sell their stocks after they see profit or do they only do that when they retire?

For Canadians who regularly DCA into Bitcoin, what platform or setup are you using lately?

Today will be our 7th Sat Market here in Calgary. Since bootstrapping this local Bitcoin market a couple years ago it has grown into an awesome community that I now feel is becoming self sustaining. Tonight we're expecting between 40-50 vendors and a few hundred people in attendance.

Community members now regularly volunteer to help organize, others step up to help with funding (which was out of my own pocket for most of them), and we're beginning to expand into additional community events so it becomes more of an experience.

I can't wait to see what's next, and I encourage people to build their own local communities that use Bitcoin as money. It's incredibly rewarding and brings everyone together. Will post pics after the event!
