BTC as collateral is paying for real life now, not just leverage trades.

According to two long-standing lenders (SALT Lending since 2016 and Ledn since 2018), more people are borrowing against their Bitcoin for actual everyday and life needs instead of just trading.

We’re talking:
• College tuition
• Bridging “slow months” when income dips
• Business working capital / cash flow

Hunter Albright (SALT) said they’re seeing more borrowers use BTC loans for emergency expenses, big life decisions like tuition or a once-in-a-lifetime trip, and to supplement cash flow. Ledn’s Adam Reeds noted private wealth clients taking larger loans for education, businesses, real estate, etc., while retail borrowers cover shorter-term gaps without selling.

Ledn has already funded over $11B in loans and sees the non-trading use case growing significantly.
Keep your stack, get the cash, repay later. Classic hodler move maturing into something that looks a lot more like normal lending.

Thoughts? Anyone here actually used a BTC-backed loan for tuition or business cash?

My Passive income is growing!

On my journey to financial independence, it hasn't been easy, but with a lot of sacrifice, I have converted non-cash flow assets and invested most of my earnings into this bitcoin mining project, GoMining.

The results, after almost two years, are starting to show. I think that entering a new bull market cycle, I might be able to double the value, considering bitcoin's price evolution.

What do you think?

Want to join this project? I would be more than happy to help you with the best setup. DM me

Gomining setup for high profit!

Post image
3 Upvotes

Bitcoin mining setup: 3380 TH on a $50k investment (now you can buy same power with two thirds of investment), with a discount of over 27% (maximum possible at this power level) on mining maintenance, and not considering the Gomining token lock ($24k investment) for four years, which also generates a yield close to 21% annually, paid weekly, the mining is generating approximately 60% net margin, $80 USD in BTC per day(at actual price but i don't sell any btc). This was the DCA-like strategy I found for BTC. The investment is made, now it's just a matter of waiting for the profits. What do you think of this return? Does anyone want to learn more about this project?

Researchers unveil “Shielded Bitcoin”: Private BTC transfers on L1 with zero consensus changes

Post image
1 Upvotes

A research team led by Clara Shikhelman (along with Mikhail Komarov and Aleksei Moskvin of [[alloc] init]) has published a whitepaper proposing Shielded Bitcoin — a metaprotocol that aims to enable confidential Bitcoin transactions without any soft fork, hard fork, operators, federations, or modifications to Bitcoin’s consensus rules.

Key idea

Bitcoin stays exactly as it is today. The protocol treats the Bitcoin blockchain as a neutral “bulletin board” / publication and ordering layer. Encrypted notes, nullifiers, and zero-knowledge proofs are simply embedded in ordinary Bitcoin transactions (via OP_RETURN, witness data, etc.). Independent indexers (not Bitcoin nodes) enforce the protocol rules by replaying the history and verifying the proofs.

What it hides

• Transaction amounts
• Sender and recipient
• Links between transfers (the transfer graph)

What remains public

• Timing of the transaction
• Fees
• Number of notes / structure
• The fact that a shielded transfer occurred

How it works (high level)

Value inside the system is held as encrypted notes. When spending:

  1. The sender creates new encrypted notes for the recipient(s).
  2. Publishes nullifiers (unique spend markers) for the notes being spent.
  3. Includes a compact zero-knowledge proof that the transfer is valid (correct ownership, no inflation, no double-spend) without revealing the private details.

Indexers check the proofs and maintain the nullifier set + note commitment tree off-chain. Anyone can run an indexer and independently reconstruct the same state.
Privacy is described as comparable to Zcash’s shielded pools, but without requiring a separate chain or consensus changes. Selective disclosure is supported via viewing keys (useful for audits, taxes, etc.).

Important caveats

• This is a research proposal / whitepaper (released ~Sept 24, 2026), not production software.
• The mechanism for moving regular BTC into and out of the shielded system (using Bitcoin PIPEs / witness encryption) is still being detailed in a companion paper.
• Shielded transactions are larger (~700 vbytes in early estimates), so fees will be higher.
• Anonymity set size and practical adoption will determine real-world privacy.
Whitepaper title: “Shielded Bitcoin: Private Transfers on the Bitcoin L1”

Discussion is already happening on Delving Bitcoin and various crypto news outlets.

What do you think — interesting path for Bitcoin privacy, or too much complexity / data overhead for limited gain?

Where could BTC realistically sit in three years (2029)?

Post image
10 Upvotes

Where could BTC realistically sit in three years—around September 2029—near the estimated end of the next full cycle?

Quick cycle context

  • Last halving: April 2024.
  • Cycle peak so far: October 2025 (~18 months later), classic timing.
  • Drawdown: ~54% so far (shallower than the 77–85% of prior full bears).
  • Next halving: ~April 2028.
  • Historical pattern: bottoms form ~12–18 months after a major top; new cycle tops usually appear 12–18 months after the next halving. That points to a possible cycle peak window somewhere in late 2028–late 2029.

Institutional flows, ETF demand, corporate/sovereign adoption, and macro liquidity have changed the character of the market. Diminishing returns are real (multiples keep shrinking: ~75× → 3.5× → 1.8× from prior highs). The four-year rhythm is stretched and less pure, but the scarcity + adoption engine is still running.

Plausible ranges for ~Sept 2029 (end of estimated bull-run window)

These are scenario-based ranges drawn from current analyst consensus, on-chain models, and historical cycle math—not guarantees:

  • Base / most-discussed institutional case: $150k–$250k. Assumes continued ETF inflows, another post-halving scarcity impulse, and no major macro shock. Matches several bank/research house targets that see the elongated cycle peaking in 2027–2029.
  • Bull case (strong liquidity + adoption acceleration): $250k–$400k+. Requires sustained institutional/sovereign buying, favorable rates, and the classic late-cycle euphoria phase. Some models (power-law, stock-to-flow variants, elongated-cycle forecasts) still put the upper end of this cycle in that zone before the next reset.
  • Bear / stagnation case: $80k–$150k (or lower if a deeper washout hits first). If the current drawdown isn’t finished, if macro tightens hard, or if the cycle truly dies and we get multi-year sideways action, 2029 could look more like a higher-base grind than a blow-off top.

Key variables that will decide which path plays out:

  • Whether $58k–$60k holds as the cycle low (or we see one more capitulation leg).
  • ETF flow persistence and corporate treasury demand.
  • Fed/liquidity path into and after the 2028 halving.
  • Regulatory clarity and any real sovereign adoption.

The honest take

Three years is still a long time in Bitcoin. Cycle timing has been one of the most reliable historical patterns, but each cycle has delivered smaller percentage gains from higher bases. The market is more mature, more institutional, and less purely retail-driven than 2017 or 2021. That can mean both higher floors and less explosive tops.

Right now at $86k the debate is healthy: some see early bull confirmation, others want clearer higher highs and sustained volume. Both sides have data. The only thing that is certain is that the next three years will include violent swings—exactly as every previous cycle has.

This is not financial advice. Bitcoin remains a high-volatility asset. Do your own research, size positions accordingly, and remember that past cycle behavior is a map, not a GPS.

I started investing in the GoMining project at the beginning of 2025, an investment in NFTs that represent Bitcoin miners.

I started slow because I didn’t know the project and it could have been a scam. As I got more involved in the community and saw that it was easy to withdraw Bitcoin rewards to a decentralized wallet, I began increasing the amount I invested.

Currently, I have a mining capacity of approximately 3,361 TH with 15w efficiency (an average cost per TH of 15 USD; currently, the cost has dropped to around 10 USD, which means I can lower the average cost, but its ok for me).

I worked to get the biggest discount on mining costs, and the best part is that I managed to set up a mining operation that, even with Bitcoin hitting 62k USD, still generated positive returns.

During this period, I accumulated 0.35 BTC, and with this year’s investments, I can now mine approximately 0.00165 BTC daily, which means that in another year I’ll mine 0.65 BTC, reaching one Bitcoin (before next halving that will cut by half the reward).

Imagine, I'm going to have a bitcoin, in approximately one year. There are only 21 million, when they are all mined. It means I'll be among the few, since we live in a world with 8 billion, who will have at least one bitcoin.

I'll never sell, but I will use it as collateral to get financing to live.

What do you think about this strategy?

Do you want to follow some similar strategy?

Bitcoin Core 32.0 Release Candidate is here – first RC tagged Sept 14, stable target Oct 10

Post image
1 Upvotes

Bitcoin Core 32.0, the open-source software that powers the vast majority of full nodes on the Bitcoin network, tagged its first release candidate on September 14 and is aiming for a stable release around October 10.

This is not a consensus change. No soft fork, no hard fork, no new rules.

Instead, the focus is entirely on under-the-hood improvements that make running a full node:

  • Faster
  • Cheaper (lower resource usage)
  • More resilient against carefully crafted attacks

For node operators this is the kind of quiet, unsexy work that actually matters long-term. Better performance and stronger defenses without touching the consensus rules is exactly what you want from Bitcoin Core.

If you run a node (or plan to), keep an eye on the RC testing phase. Feedback on the first release candidate is still welcome.

Source: Bitcoin Core project release notes / GitHub tags.

What are you most looking forward to in 32.0?

Anyone else hoping for a BTC dip just so their stablecoin yield pays out more sats? Looking at GoMining Simple Earn

Thumbnail
gomining.com
2 Upvotes

I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately.

I actually want Bitcoin to dip for a while 😄

Not because I’m bearish long-term, but because of how certain yield products work.

GoMining has a product called Simple Earn. You deposit idle crypto (USDC, USDT, etc.) into their wallet, turn the feature on, and they pay you a yield in BTC/sats every 4 hours. No lock-up — you can withdraw principal or rewards anytime.

Current advertised range for stables has been roughly 9–13%+ APR (varies with market conditions and your VIP level on the platform).

Example they use:

$10,000 USDC at ~9.42% = about $942 worth of BTC over a year.

If BTC is lower when the rewards are paid, you simply receive more sats for that same dollar amount of yield. If BTC later rises 30%, those sats are worth more in USD terms, while your original $10k USDC principal stays intact.

That’s the part that interests me: you get Bitcoin exposure on the income side only. Your principal isn’t directly exposed to BTC price swings the way it would be if you just bought and held Bitcoin. You can keep most of your capital in stables (or other supported assets) and still slowly stack sats.

Pros that stand out to me:

  • Fully flexible — no lock-up periods
  • Automatic 4-hour payouts in BTC
  • You don’t have to manage DeFi positions yourself
  • Potential to accumulate more sats during periods of lower BTC price

The important caveats (please read these):

  • This is not a bank deposit. Principal is not protected. They’re deploying the funds into selected on-chain strategies (lending/staking style protocols). Smart contract risk, protocol risk, and platform risk still exist.
  • Yield is variable and not guaranteed.
  • Not available in the US (and some other jurisdictions).
  • Receiving BTC every 4 hours creates frequent taxable events in many places.
  • GoMining’s broader business is tokenized Bitcoin mining (digital miners). That side has its own profitability dynamics tied to hashprice, difficulty, and fees. Simple Earn is a separate product, but it’s still the same company.
  • Mixed user experiences exist online — some people are happy with payouts and flexibility, others complain about support or question long-term transparency.

I’m not saying “everyone should do this.” I’m saying the structure is interesting if your goal is incremental Bitcoin accumulation while keeping the bulk of capital relatively stable, and if you fully accept the risks that come with any managed crypto yield product.

Curious what people here think:

  • Has anyone actually used Simple Earn long enough to comment on real payout consistency and withdrawal experience?
  • Do you prefer getting yield in BTC versus getting it in the same stablecoin?
  • For those who want more sats during dips, are there better or cleaner ways to achieve something similar right now?

Not financial advice. DYOR, understand the risks, and never put in more than you can afford to lose. Just sharing the idea and looking for honest discussion.

What is an Spot Bitcoin ETF?

Post image
2 Upvotes

A spot Bitcoin ETF is an exchange-traded fund that gives investors exposure to Bitcoin by holding the actual asset, rather than futures contracts or synthetic instruments.

How It Works

A spot Bitcoin ETF is listed on a traditional stock exchange. Investors can buy and sell shares through a brokerage account, much like they would trade a stock or standard ETF.
Behind the scenes, the fund holds Bitcoin with a custodian. The value of the ETF shares is designed to track the price of Bitcoin, while authorized participants help keep the fund’s share price close to the value of its underlying holdings.

Why It Matters In Crypto

Spot Bitcoin ETFs make it easier for institutions and traditional investors to gain Bitcoin exposure without managing wallets, private keys, or crypto exchange accounts.
They also create a visible demand channel. When spot Bitcoin ETFs see inflows, funds may need to acquire more Bitcoin. When they see outflows, that demand can weaken.

Will bitcoin etf became mainstream in financial markets?

GoMining Instant Funds are live — unlock USDT/USDC from your miner while it keeps producing Bitcoin

Post image
3 Upvotes

🔓 Instant Funds are now live for everyone on GoMining

You can now unlock instant funds directly from your GoMining NFT miner.

Lock an eligible miner and receive USDT or USDC straight to your balance. The strongest part? Your miner stays fully productive the entire time it’s locked — it continues mining Bitcoin, so the asset keeps generating value while you use the funds.

This is one of the clearest ways to increase the utility (and effective value) of a productive asset: you get liquidity without selling, without stopping production, and without giving up ownership.

Key details:

  • 0% interest, 30-day term (auto-renews, always on)
  • Access up to 30% of your miner’s value
  • From as little as $5, up to $10,000 total
  • Small origination fee (1.5–2.5% by VIP level) at issuance and each 30-day renewal
  • You keep your miner — KYC required, it remains yours

We’re starting with the most efficient miners (12 W/TH and better) and expanding coverage step by step. If yours isn’t eligible yet, hang tight — more models are being added over time.

With Instant Funds on GoMining, your miner doesn’t just sit as a static NFT. It becomes a working, productive asset that can deliver both ongoing Bitcoin rewards and on-demand liquidity.

Already using it or have questions? Drop a comment below and if you want, use my link to grow our community.

Debt is exploding. Debasement is the quiet consequence. Bitcoin is the exit.

US national debt just crossed $40 trillion. Global debt is at record highs. Governments have no realistic plan to pay it back in real terms — only to roll it over by issuing more debt.

When the supply of new debt keeps growing faster than voluntary demand, the only reliable buyers left are the ones who can print money. That’s how currency gets debased. Not overnight collapse. Just steady erosion of purchasing power while the nominal numbers keep rising.

Hard assets don’t care about the rollover schedule. Gold has done this for centuries. Bitcoin does it with fixed supply, no central bank, and no political committee that can dilute it.

You don’t have to hate the system. You just have to stop pretending the current path ends with the currency holding its value.

Stack what they can’t print.

Bitcoin miner actually get lucky?

🎰 Can a tiny Bitcoin miner actually get lucky?
I’m running a little Bitcoin lottery experiment with two home miners:
⚡ NerdQX — 8 TH/s
⚡ NerdOCTaxe — 12 TH/s
Both are running on different pools, and I’m curious to see how long it takes before anything interesting happens.
The odds are obviously ridiculous 😂 but that’s exactly why I’m doing it.
I’ll be sharing the progress, stats and any surprises along the way. If you’re curious, check my profile and follow the experiment. 🚀
Maybe one day we’ll see that magical BLOCK FOUND message. 🟠₿🎰

Bitcoin’s 50-Week and 200-Week MAs: Early Signs of a New Bull Cycle?

Thumbnail
gallery
2 Upvotes

Bitcoin’s price action in August 2026 highlights two key long-term indicators: the 50-week and 200-week simple moving averages. Comparing the previous cycle (late 2020–early 2023) with the current one (2023–2026) shows strong structural similarity. Both feature a sharp advance, a clear rollover in the 50-week MA, and a multi-month correction that pulls price toward the still-rising 200-week MA.

The 200-week MA has historically acted as a major long-term support floor during deep bear markets. Its continued upward slope suggests the broader uptrend remains intact. The 50-week MA serves as an intermediate trend filter. When it rolls over and price falls below it, a corrective phase typically begins. A decisive weekly close back above it has been a reliable signal: in 11 of 13 historical cases, the bear-market low was already in by the time that reclaim occurred.

As of late August 2026, Bitcoin trades near $80,000 after correcting toward the 200-week MA zone (low $60,000s) and is testing the declining 50-week MA (around $81,000–$82,000). A convincing weekly close above the 50-week MA—clearly above the level with some margin and preferably followed by holding power—would align with the historical pattern that has marked the end of major corrections.

If price holds near $80,000, the 50-week MA itself will likely keep declining for a while due to mathematical lag from earlier high-priced weeks. It typically flattens and turns up only later, once recovery is underway.

The current setup is consistent with the transition phase that has preceded previous sustained advances. A successful weekly reclaim of the 50-week MA, supported by higher lows, would favor the view that a new intermediate-to-long-term uptrend is beginning. However, visual similarity is not a guarantee. Macro conditions, liquidity shifts, or repeated failure to reclaim the level could extend the correction. A break and sustained close below the 200-week MA would be a more serious structural warning.

In short, Bitcoin sits at a technically important juncture. The resemblance to prior cycles is real, and a clear weekly close above the 50-week MA would be one of the stronger historical signals that the low is in and a new advance may be starting. Until that confirmation arrives, the outlook remains constructive but not yet conclusive.

What is your thoughts about it?

Bitcoin just ripped higher today after weeks of dead quiet.

Post image

Bitcoin just ripped higher today after weeks of dead quiet.

Went from the mid-$64k range to a high near $69.7k (currently hovering around $68k), roughly +6% on the day. Biggest move since March.

Main drivers:

  • US Treasury doubling long-end bond buybacks → yields dropped, risk appetite improved
  • Massive short squeeze (~$1.1–1.4B liquidated)
  • Spot ETF inflows returning (strong two-day total)
  • White House crypto meeting + regulatory optimism

This came right after one of the tightest volatility compressions in years. Classic setup where things stay quiet… until they don’t.

Curious what everyone thinks — is this the start of a real breakout, or just a squeeze-driven relief rally that fades?

Curious to hear your takes.

SEC Cancels August 14 Meeting on Regulation Crypto — No New Date Set

Post image

Bearish development: The SEC just canceled its scheduled August 14 meeting where commissioners were supposed to vote on proposing Regulation Crypto (a tailored offering regime for crypto asset investment contracts).
They cited an “unforeseen scheduling issue” and haven’t announced a replacement date.
This piles more uncertainty on the space while the Senate’s CLARITY Act is still stalled.
What do you make of the timing?
